Instead of right, I prefer to turn left, to Rjavina, and from there laugh at the poor guys queuing to become Slovenians. They don't know that Cmir, Vrbanove Špice, and normal Rjavina, maybe even nicer. Or the hills on the other side.
Sorry for this tactlessness, but to everyone who starts talking about how Triglav is nothing special and how it's nicer elsewhere, I ask a simple question: have you been up there? Yeah, I dare say that 99% of those who claim that have been up there themselves. So I think disparaging those who want to go up themselves is a bit tactless.

jax, sorry, maybe I expressed myself awkwardly, I know everyone wants to get up there, but it was about the huts, if the visitors are ok, usually the hut is pleasant too, I just wanted to say that Kredarica isn't what it used to be anymore, and by no means is it the staff's fault. If there's no crowd it's very pleasant there, that's why preferably off-season. I was up there for the first time, well 37 years ago, maybe that's why I see the hut which is now a hotel like that. And sorry for my tactlessness, I wish everyone goes up, just let it be normal in the hut then too.

If anyone is interested... Kranjska Hut on Ledine will be open from Friday 17.10.2014 to Sunday evening 19.10.2014. In case of nice weather it will be open next weekend too from 24.10. to 26.10.2014.
On Saturday, 18.10.2014 at 10.00 there will be opening of new via ferrata to Czech Hut.

The via ferrata is between existing paths and under the cables of the cargo cableway. The start is a good 40-minute walk from the parking lot.

goresolepe, it interests me whether the ferrata is just part of the umik Žrela path or a completely new path? Is the junction for this "ferrata" marked? I'm asking because I'd go check it on Sunday.

This ferrata has nothing to do with Žrel. It's a completely new direction. Go towards Žrel but soon see the ferrata sign and go right. The exit is right near the Czech Hut. But it's harder than Žrel. Mountain greetings.

You can't believe it. A weekend as if painted, but the hut at the Soča source closed. In that good half hour we spent hanging around there, at least 30 surprised foreign tourists. I knew it was already closed; we descended from the summit following the stamp route, which of course wasn't set anywhere, but I still hoped someone would realize they could cash in on such a weekend. I would understand if access and supply were difficult. Bravo, caretakers and PD Jesenice.

- Hut at the source of Soča in Trenta will be PERMANENTLY OPEN from 25.04.2015 onwards
