Drago, super! Really good that you didn't choose a higher or more demanding mountain Thanks for the report, best regards

Phew, the little bonsai survived. Thanks for the first pic, Drago. The hut warden and I talked at length about it just before the disaster.

You went straight over the saddle back to Logarska Is the direct route to the ridge already dry? You know the one we did a few years ago. I must repeat it this year, last year I walked it with a torn Achilles tendon best

No snow visible up to Savinjek. Under the window, some patches. Kopa is practically snow-free too.

Where are Tone's pictures, still measuring the Škaf?

Drago, you have poor eye-measurement - Škaf measured
After a longer forced mountain break , yesterday I also visited this nice mountain with two youngsters. I chose a day with fantastic weather, specifically from the direction of Matkov kot due to the annual measurement of the Škaf depth - our natural, melting landmark. Due to known restrictions I saw many more rock ptarmigans than people on the trip. Even though the road has been asphalted far into the valley for some years, the place remains quite secluded. After a short break at the 'Škaf' we continue into the demanding slope, which is initially dry, then steep, partially iced snowfield all the way to the jump. Above it the slope eases a bit, but I advise the less experienced to put on crampons again above it and take them off only at the rocky edge of Latvice. The last 170m to the top is dry rock and you don't need them anymore. At the top pure pleasure, visibility endless, light breeze. Since Drago and Boštjan attached quite a lot of pictorial material, I'll be a bit more modest so as not to repeat too much. Boštjan, thanks for the company!

Tone, I thought it would take 2m off the upper edge by Thursday.

Hard to judge the depth by eye, and water drips down your neck. Interesting, I was at the Škaf on the same date in '18 as this year, and to the bottom it was a respectable 19m.

Čebejla, I'll answer you here. From the notch to the top there were two small snowfields on Sunday. First at the notch before entering the wall, the tongue still persists but crossing is not problematic. The second on the traverse, when you first drop to the other side, below the gully with the fixed cable. That's harder and compacted. With a bit of caution you pass nicely. Hope I helped. Best regards and good luck!

Zokipoki, thanks, exactly that second snowfield interested me. You helped a lot.

Today 13.6.2020 on Mrzla gora, path without special features, but quite a lot of scree on the path at certain spots. Quite a few visitors at the top, in the valley a real August, crowds bursting, on return at 12 already hard to find parking.

1.8.2020 did ascent via Hudi prask to Mrzla gora and descent to Okrešelj. Off-trail is quite demanding and crumbly but wonderful mountain worth special respect. Another short video https://youtu.be/jDVd-GfEnls
