Yesterday my colleague and I did a circular tour around Korošica. Not much snow, only from Mala Ojstrica towards the top there's quite a bit of new wind-blown snow. Here you need to probe carefully. After descent to Kocbekov dom we continued to Lučki Dedec. Snow conditions were good (frozen snow), so we went up directly up the gully (slope 50 degrees). Descended the normal path. Road to pl. Podvežak is normally drivable.

Super tour, Matic. The picture of Lučki Dedec with the ascent route marked, I've saved for next year when I want to try it. Afraid it's end for this year.

On Saturday 14.05.2011 I was on Ojstrica. The decision for Ojstrica was the result of longer and repeated glances at this beauty this winter from Krofička, Zabrložnica, Rinka, Klemenče jama and Ogojeva's info on conditions on Planjava on the way to Kamniško sedlo. Due to bad weather forecast I set off early towards Logarska dolina and at 4am started ascending to Klemenče jama. There I had the first surprise when in complete darkness and silence a large shaggy animal suddenly rushes under my feet. Luckily it was just Benča, known to most as the four-legged guide from Razpotje. The path leads further over Zgornje jame (dry path) and under the northwest wall of Ojstrica (icy snowfield) to the saddle below Rjavčki vrh. Below Škarje I put on crampons and enter the last steep part more to the right of the summer crossing (large breakable crust) and reach the south side. I descend to the extensive snowfields on the left (southern snow) and traverse to the ridge under the south ridge. The wide ridge is practically dry, as is the path to the summit. At the top just before 9am strong wind greets me, so I don't linger. I didn't plan the descent route beforehand, but the dry slopes with minimal patches of icy snow all the way below Mala Ojstrica invited me, so I decided to descend via Mala Ojstrica and Molička planina along the secured climbing path under Žvižgovec to Robanov kot. The whole path is practically dry with two exceptions on the climbing path under Žvižgovec worth mentioning, which I wouldn't cross without a rope. The first one soon below the saddle is a steep snowfield where the summer path hides under snow, but there's very little (about 15cm). Additionally smooth rock underneath, so unsafe descent without belay. The second problem lower in the narrow gully, which over about 10m is still filled with 2m snow like holey cheese not allowing surface passage, and no space on sides between snow and gully wall. I abseil past the critical part and at half past two deservedly rest in Robanov kot. Then via Strelovec back to Logarska to the car, if desperate ha ha, but forest workers heading to the valley were a better option.
Benča suggested another variant that will wait a little longer.1

@Navihan Congrats! of course to bothnasmeh
It's been quite a few years since I was on Ojstrica in May snow, but memories are still so vivid, for me one of the most wonderful mountain trips, of course weather helped and visibility which was unique then.
Nice regards and many more nice mountain encounters.

Today 19.5.2011 I set off from Maribor still in the night hours. Started from Planina Podvežak a little before 4am. Right after the planina and shepherd's hut snow starts in the forest, at first just here and there by the path, later on slopes below Tolsti vrh more than a meter of new snow blown up. On top frozen but only partly holds weight, every now and then up to my waist in snow nasmehAround five in the morning I reach junction for Mala Ojstrica and Kocbekov dom. Snow is more and more and path to Mala Ojstrica not yet trodden, from afar doesn't look too bad, so I go straight up to Mala Ojstrica. Up to here still somehow ok, further all slopes covered with more than meter of new snow, sinks more than waist deep, path turns into real ordeal, few times almost to neck in snow and had serious problems digging out. Little sun started waking and gave me new drive. Thinking if to continue at all, then spot summit ahead, divine views and quickly all forgotten nasmeh. Reached summit a bit before half seven in morning, back same path no chance to get back alive as sun already started melting snow, so decide for descent to Kocbekov dom, much less snow and no major problems on descent. In less than hour at dom, all quiet no one around, sun already strongly baking, so lie on bench and enjoy beautiful views. Don't have much time at two have to be at work so slowly head to Planina Podvežak. Snow that held me before now sinks at every step, sink up to meter and half deep, all running though clock just half nine, After good hour get free of snow and to car, completely wet, but feelings and experiences excellent nasmeh
