Yesterday nice trip to Ojstrica, starting from parking below Planina Podvežak. Ascended to summit via Kocbek path over Mala Ojstrica, down direct to Korošica. On the way back to Podvežak quite some pits, sinkholes, scree, all green dwarf pines, reminds me a bit of Komna. Some more pics:

@jprim: yeah what else but a trip? Journey? Adventure? Tour? Excursion?
But summit isn't tourist spot - everyone who gets there snaps a pic, pics the area, drinks and eats something...yeah tourist spot is where you walk to not drive....what's the deal with the term used?
Are you one of those still dumbly debating "hikers" and "mountaineers"?
really, terms used are key to perception ....lanževica was on ojstrica that's it. what dumb comment you squeezed out, real kudos.

As Rutil partly said already, a bit more "officially". Quoted from the Mountaineering Terminology Dictionary: "outing - a few hours or all-day hiking, skiing, staying in the mountain world for recreation, getting to know places, sights."
And the outing to Ojstrica is really nice.

I call "outings" to the mountains "tours". Outing for me is to Donačka gora or Boč and Pohorje.

It really doesn't matter if we go on an outing or a tour. The main thing is that we have a good time and enjoy the natural beauties and views. Often for the same thing there are several words or expressions that differ so little in meaning that for a simple person it doesn't matter which word is used.

Regarding markings I didn't comment anything, because they really seemed nicely followable to me. But you have to be attentive and focused, especially if you don't know the path.
p.s. outing for me is an easier tour.

What is a tour for me is an outing for Janez.
