Although Ojstrica is charming,
it reveals no view to Krn,
high Grintovec hides it.
But what hides in the mists?
A familiar shape rests there in the distance,
almost flowing into the Adriatic,
the shape of the mountain is interesting,
it belongs to the Snežnik massif.

In the early morning hours - still with headlamps towards Roban's mountain pasture. The road is a bit damaged from recent rains. Everyone was still sleeping at the pasture, so we headed to the path towards Molička Planina. The path is well protected with cables and pegs, but lots of loose stones, so greater caution needed. Except for chamois kicking stones and our helmets really came in handy, we met no one. Shepherd's hut as well as chapel at Molička Planina are closed. Continued via Kocbek Path towards Little Ojstrica and on to Ojstrica. No views, the valley bathed in fog rising quickly, so we decided for descent without hut at Korošica, which was still open today. Descent to Roban Corner was quite strenuous due to fog and wet rocks, first time I experienced two slips, luckily ending just with bruises. At Roban's pasture where we sheltered from rain we refreshed with roe deer goulash and homemade cheese.

Yesterday Kopinškova to Ojstrica and back via Škarje. Winter gear needed from entry to climbing section with cables to top. Otherwise phenomenal weather fog ended around 1600m.

Pl. Ravne - over saddle Veliki vrh - Molička peč - M. Ojstrica - Ojstrica - via Korošica back past pl. Vodole and pl. Jezerce, back to pl. Ravne.
At crossing to saddle between V. vrh and Zelenica about 10 m steep snow patch, otherwise all dry. Weather gorgeous, valley fog.

Beautiful is this path over Lastovec and Desko. Gorgeous views, such for relaxation. Some of us were forced to spend the day much lower...

Ojstrica yesterday. Podvežak - Mala Ojstrica - Ojstrica. Back past Molička peč.
Path fully dry.
Whoever didn't go out yesterday will have to wait some time for such a fairy tale.

This year it has me hooked on ski touring and this is already the 20th touring descent this season. Most previous ones were at walking level, so it was time for a somewhat longer tour.
At 6 a.m. while driving towards Luče I hear the forecast: +5°C at Krvavec and Rogla, +3°C at Golte. I think about turning back, but decide it's worth checking. In Luče I switch to Boštjan's car and we drive to Planinšek.
We start on the shortcut and at the junction with the road we meet Marjan and Primož. They have similar goals too. We go to check it out, maybe to Ojstrica. From the road we head towards Vodole and Boštjan and I continue. To Korošica there is little snow, but of all kinds, from ice to quite large crevasses. The view from Korošica towards Ojstrica shows no abundance of snow here either. Since it is not yet completely wet, we head to the summit. On skis we pull a steep spur and avoid the valley with the crevasse as much as possible. Towards the ridge we remove our skis and arrive there with skis in hands. There we leave our backpacks and, equipped with crampons and ice axe, head another approx. 50 vertical meters to the summit. From the summit we descend back to the skis and prepare for skiing.
