If I'm not mistaken, the toll is now 12 euros. When the toll collector isn't there, I heard you still have to pay 12 euros for pl.Blato. Does anyone know if that's true? Previously on the way back, if you were early, there was no need to pay for pl.Blato.

I looked a bit at the Bohinj regulations adopted by the municipality. The last regulation talking about parking and road use to Vogar and Planina Blato was adopted in January 2015. In it the price is stated 10.00€ for road use. No mention of any parking meter in the regulation.
Anyway, I don't understand there being a collector there during the day, but a parking meter at night and early morning.
l.g., please post only verified news so we won't be in any temptations how to avoid road use payment.

Julius LG is right. On the sign at the entrance to the road for pl. Blato it says that the daily compensation for road use to the mentioned mountain is 12 €, which means you have to pay that. If no one is collecting the toll, there's a parking meter next to the sign where you pay and get a ticket (note: have the exact amount because it doesn't give change), which you then put on the mountain in a visible place so the municipal inspector sees it; otherwise you get a greeting in the form of a red notice stuck on the windshield. When returning, the toll collector doesn't care much if you paid on entry or not. We don't know yet how it is with multi-day parking on multi-day tours. I addressed that question to the inter-municipal inspectorate and expect an answer this week, then I'll post it so no more dilemmas around that question.....

The payment of this toll bothers me the least, because at least I see that something is actually done with that money.
More painful are various parking fees, where nothing else is done but putting up some sign and a parking meter there.

I agree that the toll is not controversial if the amount is within normal limits. Obviously, the Bohinj people tend to exaggerate.

ZeK What have they done? Laid a few km of asphalt. Compared to the history of toll collection that's nothing. Parking at the top (pl. Blato) is still chaotic throughout the main season. F*** who watches them. ..I won't give them 12 euros./I would gladly, if I didn't have a big lump in my throat and the feeling that I'm being ripped off like elastic.

Today I was at Planina Blato and inquired about how the toll works while paying.
I found out that as usual the truth is kilometers away from the scribbles on this forum.
Toll is collected exclusively "manually"
Toll is 10.00€
Parking meter is only for those who park there.
I asked the girl who was collecting toll in the morning what about those who are too early in the morning and don't pay?
Answer was that some are honest and pay toll on return, some make "frenchies" and drive off without paying toll.
But no one goes to Blato or Vogar, nor to Voje to check and look for non-payers.
It would be nice if next time you "sell" verified information.
