Ločanka, thanks! Visiting up there is surely a source of joy and satisfaction, even when collecting and editing impressions! Good luck on your paths!

Crampons are very useful, especially in the morning when everything is "freshly iced".

I don't remember so many people on Konj today. In previous years maybe you met a couple, today at least 50 (morning). Nice that something's happening here too.

This winter these two peaks became the headline peaks of this topic, a real season hit. With the pics you posted, you convinced me to hit the trail. Start at the beehives, where after a few minutes of walking on the cart track I catch the turn-off for the Martinj path. After the next few minutes I successfully lose it too, but step onto it about 80 meters higher. Super. Nice hiking on the dry trail, but soon I encounter snow that was hard as concrete. I don't feel like pulling out the winter gear from my backpack yet, so I try a bit to the left, a bit to the right, but there are fewer and fewer options to avoid the snow. Meanwhile, I unfortunately managed to miss the turn-off for Kopo. And finally I had to admit to myself that there's no fooling around. The shoes get 'spikes' and everything goes much safer and easier. When I reach the SW ridge of Rzenik, I follow it. Here winter showed its other face. The snow was already nicely softened, 'cokle' were forming, so the crampons went back onto my back. It was sinking more than expected and on the top of Rzenik I was quite satisfied that the trudging through rotten snow was behind me. Order is order and popularity does its thing, so I also jumped onto the other beauty, Konj, then trudged through Planina Dol through the muddy Dolski graben back to the car.

Great you decided and spiced the route. True, snow in remote spots below 1000m like concrete. Excellent! Regards

Hi! I'm interested in the path to pl. Dol from Lučka Bela over Prag. Does anyone know? Thanks and best regards!

Hey! You have two good options, which are nicely visible on the picture. One is left through the forest gully (above the spruce tip on your picture) - you start at the memorial plaque in the valley. To Dol is then still about an hour's walk along the road. My pictures are somewhere on the forum. The other is the passage to the right (right to the small Prag saddle), where you have to turn upwards when you reach the short valley (flat area) from the marked path from Lonca. Here you should arrive directly at Dol (I haven't walked it yet, but I eyed it very closely from nearby years ago). Otherwise, there is no path anymore, it's pathless terrain. Very steep, there shouldn't be any major difficulties if you hit the passes. At other places it seemed like a sheer wall up close to me. lp

Hey Andrej! Thanks for the reply! Exactly that second track tempts me. To climb nicely over Prag straight to the pasture, to the first meadow/pasture above the edge. The described variant Za Loncem is in the guidebook, with note overgrown, lost,... I know roughly where that clearing is. Gotta check. Did you go from the clearing left across the streambed and back south towards Lonca?

I haven't gone that second one, it's still on the list. But I already checked it out on the trip to Stala and on Dol. You go left across the streambed, climb up the steep forest to the landmark (edge) - slightly south as you say, at the top a narrow forest gap was visible leading between the wall directly to the pasture. There is a path on the pasture, below there is none or there once was (marked). The older generation walked it, but very rarely and they abandoned it. Probably in a totally different version than the one we're seeking now

Ten years ago I explored around there. As I remember most paths were on pink tracks. Mostly followable, exit to Dol not demanding. Red track - start promising, then got quite lost. Found passage to Dol anyway, but more demanding than pink. Blue track - start trodden again, then by feel, don't remember passage, but by pics not too hard. Mostly moved on this path. ( pink and once blue )

Wow, hats off Pastirica! Incredible collection of paths in KS area. Whenever a rare topic opens, your reply is here. Good that guys only rush into known gullies and then flex muscles on what we've climbed personally eyed pink. Walked section from red start in valley direct to blue end (not demanding, steep). Regards

No big deal, mainly connected to that too, to provide dogs enough movement so not technically (too) demanding stuff. But remembered I searched there already long ago in 2006. Started at parking and descended back along streambed. Looked for possible branches right and found overgrown cart track slowly forming decent path rising from right to left under walls. Then turned back soon at start. Later on that (pink) path ran into wire rope. Didn't start at main parking anymore, but bit before from left overgrown cart track joins road. Along it, over streambed, clearing, into spruce forest. Pics in this album have double comments, maybe help. Can arrange tracks too. Oh yeah, and don't call me formally, please
