Planjava via Za Vrati gully (Vratom)
We repeated the route about which Janez wrote a year ago. With the difference that we descended from Planjava into Repov kot. Starting point was Jermanca. Road is difficult to drive on some sections (except for off-road vehicles).
The path is well visible, on some sections it is already heavily overgrown with lush vegetation. Nicely laid out, interesting passages, with superb views. On some sections caution is needed against slipping.
The crossing over Za Vrati gully was supposedly used in the past by shepherds who drove small livestock to juicy green meadows under Planjava. When we cross the wide gully, gate-like Movzini saddle follows. Green meadows full of edelweiss invite the traveler to sit down and rest after the strenuous ascent. We ascend to the nearby Movzine peak. A rest among flowers on soft turf follows.
Next goal is Sukalnik. Under Spodnji Sukalnik we search for the crossing. A little climbing is needed. Behind the rock, steep meadows to Sukalnik begin. Ascent is steep. Along the ridge we ascend to the marked path that leads to Kamniško sedlo. Again we find a shortcut and ascend to Planjava ridge between both summits. An easy ridge traverse to the summit follows. The summit is quite occupied by hikers. We avoid the considerable crowd at Planjava summit. We descend towards Srebrno sedlo. Before the descent into Repov kot we treat ourselves to a snack and a short rest. The descent is made difficult by scree. Considerable caution against slipping is needed. The path is in some places completely erased by storms and full of scree. The sun bakes and I can hardly wait for the emerald green pools. Lojze and Milan during the descent explore and climb to the visible cave. When we descend to the pools we bathe and rinse the salt from our bodies. Refreshed, full of new strength we continue to Jermanca. We finish the path after ten and a half hours.
Nice trip

It was nice. Again one of those beautiful paths that you keep in memory but hard to repeat.

25. 9. 2016, the day when the mountains were really inviting.
Dom planincev, Okrešelj, Kamniško sedlo, Planjava, Baba, Škarje, Klemenča - that's how our path went, which we repeated from 4 years ago. Weather great, not too hot, plenty of hikers, well - in the continuation of our direction only a few, met just 4.
Below Škarje a bigger landslide, which slightly changed the direction of the marked path. Interesting how rarely one realizes that nature is almighty.

Grega from the bank, I was afraid they destroy license plates at Jermanci. Now I see you just respect the privacy law. Commendable!

I'm interested in the easiest access to the western highest peak of Planjava, and what difficulty it reaches. Thanks for answers.

From the central peak, we follow the ridge or path westwards and easily reach the western highest peak of Planjava.

Is it possible there's still some snow on the secured section from Kamniško sedlo to Planjava?
Thanks.

Probably not. Based on what I saw towards Brana, all dry. Planning to go to Planjava tomorrow myself. Good luck
