Yesterday we went to Planjava via Repov kot. It was foggy up to where the path via Škarje joins. Then to Planjava and to Kamniško sedlo, a fairytale. But snow in the gullies from Planjava to the saddle.

Yes, today it was beautiful around there. Hot and no wind. Repov kot is still completely dry, same Zeleniške.

Today, 2. 12. 2016 on Planjava. Start at Rinka waterfall, over Kamniško sedlo to Planjava. Up to the saddle completely dry, from saddle to Planjava summit some snow patches, no trouble. Crampons due to thaw stayed in backpack, ice axe was useful.

Jermanca and over Planjava pastures to the top of Planjava, where I waited for sunset. Descended to Repov kot. Some snowfields, two/three short traverses where there were steps.

Today on Planjava, starting point Podvežak. Path to Kocbek Hut without issues, but you need to cross 3x 10m of snow. Path from the hut to Planjava is very icy at 3 spots (picture) and needs great caution. Weather top 1A.

Planjava from Kam.sedlo (conditions 1.01.2017)
If weather on New Year's Day is so friendly and suitable for mountains as this year, no need to think, … just get up and from cold valleys go to mountains.
From Jermanca to Kamniško sedlo in under two hours you warm up well, because then continuation on shady, cold and partly snowy traverse over Rdeči Kup to Sukalnik is nasty, at some key points full winter gear necessary, cables all out. Snow in shady part just enough to bother, too little as crampons and ice axe don't grip as they could and we're used to, so more careful and slow!
Further on sunny slope and path to summit still some snow, but esp with positive temps daytime, no special problems anymore.
Bit about road from hut in Kam.Bistrica to Jermanca or under lift to Cojževo sedlo: hard, frozen and snow dusted, smoothed in places, so without good winter tires or 4x4 better leave car in valley.
Many nice tours, safe step, and luck to all on our beautiful mountain paths also in 2017.

No major peculiarities except snowfields. With gear the path is unproblematic.

9.03.2017 my colleague and I went to check conditions towards Planjava, surprised we found snow well settled and headed to Wisiak gully. Gully bottom well settled towards top worse due to windpacked snow. Due to late start more rocks falling through gully. That was reason we didn't reach Planjava summit and from Sukalnik direct to Repov kot.
