Without crampons and ice axe it won't be possible on any of the mentioned paths.

Great visibility, still quite a lot of snow. Thanks to both for the info!
Probably similar on Hanzova to Mala Mojstrovka too? =/

Today Adam and I were on Prisank. We started fairly late, as Adam arrived by bus from Bovec, the first one reaches Vršič at 8.34. I didn't worry about it, knowing the guy is in excellent condition, the forecast was good anyway.

Towards the summit we went via Kopiščarjeva pot through the window. The path is almost completely snow-free, just one small snow patch to cross, no major issues. The closer to the top, the more fog rolled in. At the top we sat in a cloud and I checked the radar picture. A small thunderstorm was over Italy, about 100 km away. So we decided to descend the Jubilee path. For that option we carried full winter gear. Indeed, the ledges on the north side were still full of snow. A little before the junction with the transverse path to Vršič, it thundered. We shortened the tour and rushed along the transverse path to Vršič. Just as the rain was heaviest, a large cave appeared, where we waited for the worst to pass. To Vršič we crossed another large snow patch.

Conditions above Vršič: without winter gear to Mala Mojstrovka from both sides and to Prisank from the south and through the front window. For Hanzova, Jubilee or path to Kriški podi, complete winter gear is necessary.

Kopiščarjeva and Grebenska paths are almost dry or the snow patches pose no problem. It is different with the descent on Južna pot, where the gully along which the path runs is still solidly filled with snow. Twice one has to descend a snowfield with approx. 30° slope for more than 20 m. Snow was still hard today at 10 a.m., so at least small crampons are very useful. A possible slip would be long and painful. Jubilejna is impassable without winter gear, Hanzova too.

Does anyone have fresh info on how the snow is on Prisank - I'd go up Kopiščarjeva and down southern (but seems there is still snow there) or down the ridge.

Two hours ago at Erjavčeva koča, the warden said due to snow under Prednje okno without crampons and ice axe she advises against ascent, I saw it myself, quite extensive snowfield, don't know if bypass possible.

@Tatana check out my report and photos a few posts back. Kopiščarjeva and Grebenska are without snowfield problems, you walk on dry ground. The southern one hasn't cleared up in a few days.

Best, Emil

Bagi I believe you based on the pics, but why didn't the hut warden check your photos. She claims otherwise. Maybe Zlodej will take her along and they'll check together if you were right.

I also want to go via Kopiščarjeva path, so I'm interested in current info on the snowfield around the front window?

Yesterday we were up there. No more snow on the ridge. People were coming up through the front window, but I didn't have contact with them. Seems the path is fine. cool

Due to jetlag I can get up early, but absence shows in form. In 2 hours 15 min climbed to Prisojnik via ridge path. This path is dry. Down via southern. Gully where part of southern path runs is still flooded, 3 snowfields, last one most tricky for slip. Good luck all, be diligent on forum.

At five am from Vršič via Kopiščarjeva through window to Prisank, down via southern. Path without problems, nice weather, few hikers. Folk at sea, when money short, to mountains.

The Primoza path goes mostly along the snowfield, so really not too dangerous.

Hello.

I'd conquer Prisojnik via the difficult path. But I wouldn't start from Vršič as stated on hribi.net
http://www.hribi.net/izlet/vrsic_prisank___prisojnik_slovenska_oz_juzna_pot/1/18/190
but lower towards Trenta, namely cca 3km from Vršič, at 1341m, at hairpin 32. Then this path at Mlinarica, which goes via Kranjska planina, joins the already mentioned path.

The starting point of 'my' path is not listed neither at Prisojnik nor at Razor on hribi.net. Haven't checked elsewhere. How is parking at 'my' starting point? Possible at all? Maybe paid?

Surely not paidwinking ..but you can park every now and then along the road on the Trenta side, don't know if exactly at the 32nd hairpin. Already a bit before, watch where you can park, or drive a bit lower if needed.

Hello.
Next week I plan to go via climbing route to Prisank. Before that I was only on climbing routes to Triglav and Mojstrovka. Compared to those routes how difficult is this one.
Many thanks for the answer.
