The snowfield is still there. The bigger problem is the nasty scree, because everything flies down, as I wrote.

Now I've read the whole post and understand where the biggest problem is. That scree through the window was never pleasant for me (and almost always quite damp) and I believe after such a winter the situation is pretty bad.

So, could I next week Wed-Fri go without any winter gear from Vršič up the Ridge path and down Slovenian/South?
What about the even more southern approach via Krajnska planina and Na robu joining those two? No descriptions seen... marked path?... parking right at the starts? There where the serpentines from Trenta end at ca 1250m or 1340m.

Today I was on Prisojnik via Hanz path. I needed crampons only on the lower snowfield. Krajna poč is ca 3-4m deep. Next snow is in gully under summit, but soft and gentle. Some snow in chute under devil's tower, which can be elegantly avoided on the left. Soon gone. A bit on top, gentle and soft. If you do not want to carry crampons, probably only choice is link from Kopiščar direction to Hanz, as it bypasses snowfield.
