In the morning a bit worse weather with a small snow shower that improved and cleared in a short time. We went up the gully and onwards towards the Prisanka window. The ridge is demanding, at some spots you gotta be max. careful. There was no extreme cold and I wasn't freezing. On the ridge and summit it was windy but not too strong, just right. From the summit we descended a bit lower for a short rest, then a very long descent mostly back. Some snow at spots causing trouble over the rocky jump (if you call it that), nowhere to stick the ice axe. Down the gully and slowly back to Vršič, even saw chamois. Top for me, very nice, a real ascent.

Yesterday via Slovenska to the summit. The day was like painted. To the branch for the ridge, snow frozen on top but sinks in certain spots. From the branch for the ridge to gully entry conditions anything but winter.. half the time on rocks and grass, half on frozen snow. On the way back around 12 in that part thaw and snow sinks to knees.
From gully start to top conditions excellent. Snow frozen at least till 12.

Tour not easy, so whoever goes up carefully and smartly nasmeh

I have some pics on camera, so if anyone needs more on conditions I can add later. Cheers

Yesterday (16.03.2019.) via Grebenska to Prisojnik summit. Path frozen in the morning - conditions top. Winter gully from scree shortening ridge path - excellent conditions. From window onwards right to ridge instead of left on summer path - excellent conditions. On ridge some wind in places, but nothing scary. Summit wonderful views in all directions. Italian came behind us via south path with skis. Descent same path, on ridge lots of caution due to thaw and ice buildup. Winter gully descent bliss. Day really like painted mežikanje

Today on Prisojnik. Ridge up and down. Practically alone, met one couple on descent very far below, way under the window. Started around 5am. Conditions good, not much sinking up. Lower gully (winter) nicely filled, but probably gets very soft during the day and didn't use it on descent. Overall, snow on descent (9-11am) already more southern and sometimes literally to the ass, especially slope right above window. Below window still a bit winter gear, then switch to summer, path from there to Vršič mostly dry, except W side slope where unlike morning snow already quite soft and completely easily passable without crampons.
If no severe worsening, conditions good for "winter" ascents a while longer.

No entry in the log, winter has done its thing.

The road was dry and clear yesterday, full of cyclists, bikers... We'll see what it will be like in these days, but no big snow to that height for sure.

Today failed attempt on Prisojnik. Just before half of the ridge path turned back due to bad visibility and too strong wind. At end of scree I cut path and went over gully. Gully nicely filled and morning base hard. Nice crunching. Path not trod so I made track and steps for next ones. Despite failed ascent nice day used.
