pic3: I wouldn't say that's proper walking with crampons when traversing the slope (left leg).

Bravo panda. That's why he didn't have crampons on his feet. Anyway to each their own, some walk with poles and crampons in the gully.... but who am I to lecture them?

Saturday, 8.2.2020 Started at top of Vršič, followed marked path over scree - hard snow to gully. Below in gully dry snow that broke through, so didn't opt for crampons. After a few meters of "postholing" decided not to go up gully if conditions like this to top. When crossed to right side of gully realized all different there - hard. So put on crampons, harness and attached ice axe, nicely frontpointed to top. When exited gully sun greeted me, on path no snow for quite a while. Thought about removing crampons but soon found snow patches and climbed them. In sun no wind hot, when wind blew cold... dress right if you know how Base to window and bit further to ridge few cm rotten snow on hard base, occasionally cornices. At window stopped a bit, drank tea then to ridge. To ridge sinks in places, some rotten some dry; but on ridge gets quite hard.... and very serious. No room for error here, if slip probably won't self-arrest. Path runs almost always right on ridge. At two spots made small detour for descent, too exposed and not fully snow-covered so could go wrong quick. At top met group of five mountaineers, asked for photo (some don't approve selfies here). Total counted 12-15 visitors. Views from top incredible, could see really far. But still some wind so quickly headed back to valley. Was nice.

Really nice pics. Interesting that on my 6m lower hill that day there was no wind at all.

Thanks. Here too it wasn't constantly blowing but in gusts. The forecast was calm, but I don't believe it applies to passes and ridges.

Even on Špik it was almost completely calm, so we could spend a whole hour on the summit. The path anyway doesn't have a real ridge anywhere. Congratulations on the tour!

Prisojnik, Grebenska, yesterday. Start around 6am, bottom not much frozen, winter gully similar, harder on the right side. Above gully ca. 20 min. bare (we took off crampons), then slope to window, already slightly softened then. From window on mainly hard, nice snow, except slope below summit which sun heats a lot. On return around 10am, all similar, only slope below window quite softened. No postholing anywhere. Fixed ropes on ridge still compact, paths with safe edge distances. Back to Vršič around 12pm, occasionally annoyingly windy there. Moderate visitors, we counted 12 incl. us. In short, nice day and generally good conditions.

Has anyone gone through the last window recently? Conditions? Probably still some snow... p.s. if anyone knows current conditions from Planja to Prisojnik that'd be super

Again I can answer myself... From the window to the summit there are still about 10 snow patches over the path

Up the ridge route, back via the Slovenian. No snow anywhere, but lots of scree on the path.

What are conditions on Prisojnik via Kopiščar route? Is the path very demanding? Best regards

A week ago there were still two snow patches on the route, both between chimney and window. It was smart to have one axe, no crampons needed. Logically less snow now, I doubt it's completely clear, maybe with the temperatures. Protections OK, two spots with loose wires from pulled pegs, if I recall, nothing critical. Fine for moderate experience. Route difficulty as is. Depends on experience. Well protected, not for beginners without serious guide. Real mountains. Good luck!
