The path from pl.Loka to Raduha was dry today 15.6.08 but very muddy and one had to be very careful especially on descent. In the morning towards the top there was even some small snow which melted by noon.

The path is for those who like to walk, so walk... Started in Solčava, but a bit before where the marked path starts and climbs steeply on forest path, then across meadow past farm and again on forest path which is very nice, all to hut on Grohot. Then over Durce to Raduha summit and then over planina Arta past Snežna jama, on very steep forest path back to Solčava. Since it rained in between, had to be very careful, forest is wild, at times a bit scary. Path well marked and ends more precisely at junction for Robanov kot, then a bit on foot to Solčava

Yes, it's approx 4-5h, the previously mentioned tour lasted approx 10h. Otherwise also very nice forest path from Luče to Raduha summit and not so steep, in walking time also around there!

Zamet, tell me which path to Raduha is the most attractive for you. They recommend the one from Luče. I think you're somewhere near home and please recommend it to me. I'm used to everything myself, just there are more of us and if you also know the climbing one tell me how it compares to the path to Mrzla gora and descent to Škaf (that seems to me the most attractive in this part of the Alps). I know that well because I've walked it several times. So I can choose for the hikers according to difficulty! Thanks for the answer! Regards

I go to Raduha quite often, so to me the most attractive is ZZP from Grohot (mountain hut) directly to the summit, then descent to planina Arta (from where approx. 15 min to snežna jama, entrance every 2 hours), crossing to Loka and over saddle Durce back to Grohot! Access to pl.Grohot possible from farm Bukovnik, to which you drive by car on panoramic road from Savinja side, past saddle Sp.Sleme, to which access is also possible from Carinthian side. Besides that nice path also from Luče, which mostly goes through forest, straight to Loka, from where you ascend to summit, descend to Arta and back to Loka, then you have to return to Luče on the same path. As for the path itself, it's easier and time-wise longer, from Grohot harder but time-wise shorter! Hope my info will be useful!! Nice mountain greeting!!

I think klavdipo has already said everything, but regarding the climbing one (from Grohot), it's easier than Mrzla gora (from Škaf or Okrešelj I've been there several times too), because it's also better secured. Regards

Yesterday my wife and I were on Raduha, up and down the climbing path. The path is without problems. The day was wonderful. I would also say this. If you go on the rocks at least wear proper shoes. Lp Franc

Hello. I'm also heading to Raduha this coming weekend. I'm wondering if there are more climbing paths to Raduha? This page only describes from Bukovnik. Which one do you recommend and can you list which other (climbing) paths lead to Raduha? Thanks

I was yesterday on Raduha via the climbing path from Grohat, the path is not too demanding, quite well secured. I recommend this climbing path for ascent. I descended via the path over Durce back to Grohat, where the path is easier, but less suitable for ascent at least in my opinion, because there's lots of scree, but for descent on scree it's ideal. From the hut at Loki the path is very easy on grassy slopes.

I know another nice path. From the hut at Grohatu turn left on the meadow to Lanež. The path towards the top of Lanež is secured, marked it's kinda so-so.... From the top of Lanež, then over Durc to the top of Raduha. From the top then via climbing to the hut at Grohatu. There's also an unsecured route over Vetrne police. Tough. Lp Franc

ZZP to Raduha! Today we checked out and walked the very demanding path to Raduha. I agree with predecessors who didn't treat this path as difficult and demanding. The path is very well secured and marked. But it's intended for more experienced hikers (used to pegs and wire cables). It's attractive, offers nice views and you're sorry you're at the top so quickly. We returned via Durce and regretted not using the same path for descent. But it's right that less demanding paths can also be used for ascent to Raduha. But even on the scree which is on this path (Durce) caution is needed to avoid slipping!! Lp

Yesterday was again a day for my wandering, we planned Stol, but since I wasn't sure about conditions, Raduha was next again, second time this year, but this time from Loka. This time on ascent I didn't find peace, as some were very loud and again I realized, better off path where you enjoy. But with my husband we reached our wonderful pleasures on descent over planina Arte. I was here about 10 years ago, but yesterday it was paradise for me, like in a fairy tale land, observing gentians barely visibly sprouting flowers, moss everywhere, path sprinkled with larch needles..., wonderful, makes your heart dance. Attaching some pics, with nice view and of course clear view from the top this time no luck.

Maybe someone knows what the conditions on Raduha are like. I'm mainly interested if there's any snow. We plan the trip for Sunday.

I think there won't be snow yet - at least according to the forecast. This picture is from Gojška planina from Sunday (2.11.).

Cooling is expected in mid-mountains from midweek on, snow down to 1000m. I think this weekend is the last without snow in low mountains, Sunday forecast is a bit mixed, so I'll rather wait for more new snow! greetings.
