Hello,

a bit late but still I can report.
In the end I decided for the tour Bukovnik-Grohat-Raduha (via climbing path)-Loka-Durce-Grohat-Bukovnik.

The weather forecast was good, but on the climbing path I had the bad luck to be caught by fog. So no views from the top, which means I'll have to repeat the tour in the future.

Overall the path was fine, the climbing one wasn't that demanding for me personally, but caution on such paths is still necessary. Especially when fog caught me, the rocks were very slippery! The rest of the path isn't demanding, the circular tour took me just over 6 hours in total.

I definitely recommend the tour, and I'll repeat it in the future too.

Raduha 4.11.2024
Mountain colleague I've known for over 40 years asked me to accompany him to a two-thousander. This was to be the last two-thousander he'd climb in his life. In his long life he's traversed numerous ranges at home and abroad. He chose Raduha.
We drive by car to the parking below Koča na Loki. The road is dug up in the last part. Along the road numerous log yards and trucks load logs all day and drive to the valley. So there are also resulting road blocks!!!
At nine we start walking. Clear, sunny and +6C. Soon he sends me ahead and wants to be alone. In the first third of the path he's still in doubt if he'll make it. En route I visit Malo Raduha summit. As I prepare snack on Velika Raduha I spot him. He's already on the last traverse. So one hour behind me.
At top we take some photos and have quite short stop. For return I decide to take him via direct shepherd path to Planina Arta. Haven't descended here for years and have initial orientation issues. Finally catch the path and we go well. Despite initial troubles in 1h40min at Planina Arta. Both glad the feat succeeded cool

Whole path took us 5 hours and we total 149 years. Colleague added: how nice if one of us had that many. velik nasmeh

Today from Vodol to Jelovec. From there over Lanež to Raduha. Descent to Loka and over planina Javorje to Vodol.
Road to Vodol is drivable, further to Loka, I don't know. Plenty of snow so we had a nice winter experience. nasmeh

There was quite a bit of snow, although it didn't look like it from below.

On the third photo it's Kup, I think the trip on the portal now has the peak with cross renamed to Kup.

17.12.2024 Raduha
Probably the last two-thousander this year. Today in a larger group from NE Slovenia. Parked under Radušnik. Start surprisingly not muddy, as usual in such conditions. Almost no snow to Koča na Loki. Here +7C and SW wind. We decide for the right variant and climb to the saddle before Lanež. Some drifted snow in between, gaiters come in handy. We continue over Lanež to Velika Raduha. Here we perform the custom of photographing ourselves for the calendar in December velik nasmeh

shirtless. We descend directly to Arta and to Snežna jama parking. Here we hesitate whether to continue on the marked path to Luče. Colleagues go the normal way to Radušnik to the car, the others on the steep marked path to Luče. At the bench, where the marked path branches right, we descend straight down. We reach the asphalt cca. 500m before the farm, where the road steeply branches left to Radušnik. We wait a bit and soon the colleagues who went on the normal path arrive. Actually, we both took the same time for the descent, only we had a much steeper and more difficult path.

Today on Raduha from Radušnik. After the last light snowfall no one had been up yet. Behind me about 15 hikers went up, so the path is trodden. After 2 km from the main road the road is closed, so turn left before the barrier, marked. There is some gravel, about 100m even worse. To the parking under Koča na Loki probably not possible, as it was empty.

Today from Radušnik to Loka and to Durce. From there to summit and descent on “highway” back.
Snow above hut. Towards Durce a bit trodden, rest quite a lot. For descent I use crampons, those I met today had them for ascent too.

From Kosmačevih Rastk to Cirkovnica and on to parking under Loka, from where I break trail past Arta to summit. Sometimes up to knees, otherwise solid, winter gear stays in backpack. Below summit group of four catches me, together short sit in sun with wind. Descend towards Loka, no trail breaking there yet. This time leave first steps to younger. At junction to Durce meet group, end of trail breaking. Idea of Lanež abandoned, enough. To Loka quick, then pleasant descent to Rastk.
Road to parking under Loka not plowed.

We were also on Raduha on Saturday. We started at the farm Radušnik. We met zokipoki above the junction for Durce. We were breaking trail towards them for a while, they from the summit towards us. Yesterday I 'needed' solitude and really had it in full. There was the hike to Raduha postponed by a week, which sadly is no longer even a shadow of its 33-year history. From Luče I probably started as the only one, hut warden Mojca and organizer rep greeted me as the first visitor at Koča na Loki. On the long stretch to the hut I overtook no one, in the last km where the path is snowy I saw no tracks yet. After tea and dry snacks I head to the summit, I meet a female hiker returning, she didn't know about the hike. Lots of snow, track made, no sinking. Sadly summit in fog, no strong wind. At summit two join me from planina Arta direction. On return to hut bit more life, I enjoy good game goulash and say bye to friendly warden.
Still in snowy part I feast my eyes on closed cow sheds, to car again alone, all activity clear sky, sun didn't show.
