The night was a real nightmare. The previous days were also heavy and mentally draining due to the situation I was in. You can't always laugh.
The drive to Logarska was still half in dreams and it was close to turning around and going back home. At 7.15 I park at Dom planincev, jump out of the car and start the trail, direction Zabrložnica. Right at the start some newly fallen trees that can be easily bypassed. To the window I'm panting and puffing, tired, everything was spinning. Higher up snow started at the window, well compacted. To Zabrložnica I go my own way, more from the west and just before the hut I meet Dejan (redbull) returning from the window above Zabrložnica. Nice greeting Dejan! You were early!
Here the terrain gets more serious, but lazy, I don't put on crampons yet, it goes. Nausea passed, so no stop at the hut and I go straight where it pulls me, to Savinjek! Through steep slopes and compacted snow patches here and there, pure enjoyment! The upper ridge was steep, but I climbed left instead and reached the summit from behind on snow. Sun shyly hiding behind clouds, calm and nice views captured the moment of omnipotent existence. Quite sad when descending from summit to hunting hut, yet immensely enjoying! Here and there a chamois and a mouse jumping from hole to hole. At the hut I snack and descend to the valley, this time through the gully where the path leads.
For me one of the nicest pathless peaks above Logarska!

Matkovo Window (10.04.21) Snow starts in the forest at 1350m and was quite hard. Left of the hunting hut and straight up on hard ground between trees. The ground was really poetry, perhaps even the best for winter ascent this year (spring). Nice views of Matkovo Kopa, Krnička gora, Mrzla gora and of course the entire great ridge of Orlovec. Pleasant short chat with Zoran. Descent to L.Kot for changing and with skis to the other end.

Ascent to Turn via snow-covered dwarf pines isn't something you do every day. At least not planned.velik nasmeh Descent via hunting path to Okrešelj, where there's still snow in such a gully (ice axe) and then to the valley past the hundred waterfalls to Logarski Kot.nasmeh

With a delay I'm posting a variant approach to Turn via hunting path under Turn and via western terrain to the summit.
It's a nice and demanding approach on steep and partly exposed terrain. Short sections with difficulties I - II. For lovers of such terrain. From Logarski kot 2 - 3 hours.

From Logarski kot along the path to Zabrložnica, to the end of the ridge above the window in the forest. There the slope widens.1
At the first sharp right turn, the key, pathless straight to the west.2

Today up past the hunters' hut and on the right side to the Window. Descent via "normal" to the saddle and from there to Turne.
And, since the buddy had to go to the night shift, we didn't grill sausages over Okrešelj, but returned back past the hut to the car.velik nasmeh
Zoran's variant will have to wait a bit longer...nasmeh

Yesterday again into the world of Zabrložnica.

A year and a half ago andi2 and I agreed we'd go hiking together when the chance comes and yesterday it worked out great. In the morning I suggested Zabrložnica and andi2 was in!

We climbed to Turne via western passage, on to the window and down past the hut. Bit of everything. Ascent to Turne spiced by powdery dirt, which in near-vertical exposed spots made adrenaline jump a notch or two. Grateful for bushes!
Unbelievable steepness they cut, crazy!

It really worked out nicely in this crazy schedule, and official vacationzavijanje z očmi at home freaked out that we chatted seven hours and nothing rainedvelik nasmeh thanks for leading, t-shirtmežikanje and really nice tour choice. Sadly, as my habit if not solo - three pics, none good to post. Strong impressions and ideas remain of course. Cool first time here. Incredible passages and for me below Turne already very close to my max. On traverse entry and in steep rocky grassy ledge really no room for error. Even funnier that later energy drained by some premiere bushwhacking... Yeah that's why we return to such places. regards
