Today I had an interesting double tour that I'll probably never forget. In the morning I surprisingly spotted Milan at the parking lot in Logarski kot, who was already cheerfully eyeing the slopes. We were headed in the same direction but each on our own, me towards the window, him under the Turns, both exploring. Together we walked a good part of the path towards Zabrložnica, then parted and each took his own way. After a demanding pathless traverse on the left side of the gully I was soon at the hunting hut. The weather was nicely clearing up and autumn colors started revealing their magic. Golden-yellow beeches dominated, larches were still coloring, higher up more yellow. From the hut I went my own way over steep grasses straight up to the ridge and from there traversed left towards the window. I was there for the first time, so I didn't know exactly where, but my feeling didn't deceive me, I made it. It's very nice at the window. I heard talking coming from the west side and soon two hikers joined me. We chatted a bit and descended together to the saddle where we parted, they on the hunting path towards Okrešelj, me towards the Turns. A bit of bushwhacking, some climbing, nice II (crumbly), and I was first on the first and then on the second Turn, a solitary viewpoint from which the view is truly incredible. I rested a bit, poured some tea, when suddenly a shaggy figure jumped out from behind the rocks on my left. I got scared like mad, where did I think Milan would climb up the ridge of the Turns and surprise, scare me at the top. Haha! We both laughed. We enjoyed it. We continued the tour together. From the Turns we chose a climbing descent and from the saddle headed towards Okrešelj. It was hot, almost too much. From Okrešelj we descended to the junction for the shepherd's, wandered a bit and together decided to look for the hunting path that Milan had already walked halfway under the Turns in the morning, to see what that connection is like. We managed to find the entrance and the wild traverse began. The path was and wasn't there. When traversing the exposed gully we descended too low and ended up on very steep chamois tracks. The more we pushed through chamois passages, crawled and grabbed roots, the more it seemed to me that we would have to turn back, even through very demanding terrain. Milan was convinced that we would soon be out of trouble and his feeling didn't let us down. We managed to climb to the hunting traverse under the Turns and immediately sighed in relief. We should have stayed higher but what, when in the steep gully we completely lost the path. Since everything happens for a reason, it's good to get lost sometimes too. At least we saw and experienced what a demanding world it is in the heart of Logar Valley. Soon after we caught the trail leading to the kot. Each on his own and together we were both happy and satisfied, as we both succeeded in what we set out to do. After almost eight hours we were at the car. Super tour!
