Not a cross, nor a chapel, but a sign. Sign of the times. Sign of subservience to English on a trail where non-Slovenian hikers are maybe one percent. And ambiguous too. What to give plants? Crumbs? Change? Maybe opportunity or "chance"? Praise for good intent anyway.

On the final hike of the retired group Pondeljkovci PD Škofja Loka unfortunately all my photo equipment failed and I'll have to repeat the hike from Škofja Loka to Križna gora to the Birt inn.

In the vicinity of Črnomelj there is the ancient religious monument Mithraeum, nearby a beautiful little church of St. George.

From the Cherry Blossom trail -in Brda- trail no. 8-Trcinka. Interestingly, on the entire trail I didn't notice a single cross. The guide mentioned a couple of sacred objects on the trail-chapel in Šlovrenc, church of St. Margaret in Hruševje, chapel in Neblo, churches in Fojana-St. Spirit on the Lake and St. Florian.

This church I zoomed in on - I don't know exactly where it is and to whom it is dedicated.4
