So what are the current conditions on Skuta? Any snow where? I plan to go up on Wednesday or Thursday. Via Kokrško sedlo.

Today I was on Skuta with my buddy. We started from Konec via Žmavčarje. Just before the wall entry there are still two snowfields. I recommend caution to all inexperienced, because my buddy slipped on both today.

Great weather and even nicer pics. We didn't have such luck on Sunday and the fog took our will to summit, meanwhile shouting to come back. Yeeessss, we replied descending the Žmavčarska slope.

Today on Skuta via Turski žleb, back via Turska gora and Brana. Path dry only under Skuta snowfield ca 20m snow quite hard, had to kick steps (recommend axe, crampons even better).

Has anyone perhaps been to Skuta in the last few days? I'm interested in the conditions due to the recent rain or snowfall. I'd also be glad for a response regarding the conditions on the path past Škaf to Mrzla gora.

Thanks, Janez. I hope the weather stays favorable for a while and that I visit Skuta and Mrzla gora in KSA, this week I'm wandering around the Karavanke.

On Saturday I went from Log. valley through Turski žleb to Skuta, back over Turska gora to Kamniško sedlo and back to Log. valley. Paths and protections are OK. I recommend (at least for the path through Turski žleb) gloves, as the cables are quite cold in the morning. Hello I'd like to do a loop tour on 27.06, in one day, if the weather is nice: - Kranjska koča na Ledinah (start at 6 a.m.) - Križ - Koroška Rinka - Skuta - Dolgi Hrbet - Češka koča How long (approx.) does such a tour take? Is the path anywhere very demanding or dangerous (snowfields)? Thanks for answers and suggestions. Nice day Jure

This tour takes 8-9 hours at a moderate pace. But if you're alone or with someone who can go faster, it will take less. The path is very demanding most of the time (especially the path to Skuta and over Dolgi Hrbet), so don't forget the via ferrata kit and helmet. There's still snow on the path now, so best ask 3 days before for the exact conditions.

I'd do the loop tour on Sunday, 27.06, but the day before, on Saturday 26.06., we'd sleep in Kranjska koča na Ledinah. I'm also interested approximately how long it takes from Jezersko (where we'd leave the car) to Kranjska koča na Ledinah (past Češka koča)?

From Jezersko probably 3.5 hours. But it's worth driving to Ravenska Kočna valley and parking at the end of the valley at the cable car station. From there 2.15 to Ledin via Češka koča.

Do you really have to drive the car all the way to the wall? From Planšarsko Lake to the end of Ravenska Kočna it's a very nice walk. You guys are some kind of hikers. Grahelj, don't you think that sometimes it's already almost hard to hike in the valley because of numerous "hikers" who drive with cars to the cable car?

It's true but if the path is long it shortens the tour. Otherwise I fully agree with you. I myself didn't drive to the station last year because the tour was short.

Yesterday we climbed the south gully of Skuta. The route itself completely dry. Otherwise there's still quite some snow on Skuta. West path - steep part of the notch dry, further towards Veliki Podi softened snow, here and there ice underneath - careful. East side above Mali Podi - lower ledge, slabs still under snow, on Streža it looked dry. Definitely ice axe needed for this variant, crampons if harder.
