From the comments I conclude that LISAC, no offense, you haven't hiked these areas yet, which in my opinion is not good, especially if you're leading six people on such a tour. I don't want to be smart, but I think the condition for leading someone into the mountains is that you know the path, and then everything else regarding those you're leading! Good luck!

@garmont, nothing for an experienced mountaineer cool For more of a beginner (which can somehow be judged from the description) it can be a slightly unpleasant experience, not to write something else...

Dolgi hrbet is exposed, but generally well marked. Some other parts of the main ridge traverse of KSA are more delicate.

Thanks for all the info. I'm not really worried, I've already hiked a lot of KSA areas, but not over Dolgi hrbet yet. The same group of colleagues I've led for two years in a row on a similar time and technically demanding tour, that's why I decided this year for the above mentioned over Dolgi hrbet and in preparations also gathered and provided tour info nasmeh

On Saturday on Skuta and Dolgi hrbet. From the bivouac direction under the climbing start there are still 2 snow patches to cross. On Dolgi hrbet the path markers were fixing the cables. Day hoooot. zavijanje z očmi

From Friday to Saturday slept at the bivouac, at least representing Slovenian colors there velik nasmeh Well, in the end there were plenty of "locals" too. No need to say foreigners didn't go further, just bivouac sleep...

And one interesting thing... at 1 pm in peak heat lots were still heading up to Korško sedlo. zmeden Mostly foreigners...

I'm thinking of going to Skuta via Gamsov skret, but back I wouldn't go via Kokrško sedlo because the path is unpleasant for me. Is it possible to go down via Žmavčarje, or is it better not to?

Thanks miri nasmeh
Kafetarca: of course it's possible to go down via Žmavčarje. The path is normally passable, about a meter of snow, but it can be bypassed.

On Friday I was on Štruca and Skuta. Starting point at Suhadolnik. Sometimes some people despite the sign drove further on the forest road, but a torrent destroyed it in between, so that's no longer possible. Already at the beginning I meet a young guy coming from Kočna who says it took him 4 hours up and down. He really flew like a rocket. From Cojzova koča onwards via Mala vratca to the bivouac under Grintovec and then via Velike pode past Dolgi hrbet. On the ascent to the ridge a bit of care is needed, but overall the whole path is in good condition and excellently marked. Štruca summit is practically on the way, on Skuta quite a few of us gathered from both directions.

Long and strenuous tour - about 1,800 m of elevation gain accumulated by the end of the day - but definitely among the most beautiful in our mountains. Next time I'll go over Dolgi hrbet too.
