Today was a nice and sunny day on Slivnica. Dry below, up to 15 cm snow up top. I ascended to the summit from Grahovo, descended to Martinjak. Both paths partially trodden, especially in the forest quite muddy.

Today we were with a cool group on Slivnica. There were five of us, two guys and three girls. You probably noticed us, as we asked a lot of people to take our photos. We met really friendly people! Food in the hut was excellent, big portions and the host was very friendly, I could even bring my dog to the hut, which isn't typical for all huts. Thanks to all the good-hearted people we met on the way and hope to see you again in these beautiful places that really enchanted us a bit!

On 2.1.10 we did the traditional New Year's ascent to Slivnica with ŠRD Snežnik-Kozarišče. Weather bad, as it rained heavily on us to the barn, then snow. In the hut we drank Slivnica tea and one of those against colds at the time. On the way back to the valley just light snow falling.

Today visited Slivnica again. Weather cloudy, no wind, for a fairy tale just missing the sun. Small crampons recommended, but not necessary.

Slivnica is beautifully white this year. Over 1 m snow on the summit. Path trodden, a bit slippery (recommend hiking crampons) but no major issues. Lots of visitors. Recommend.

Yes, we really live right below it. Just above the house, good 30 m, the mountain path starts. That's why I go up on average more than 2x a week. Slivnica is my "fitness" hill. I have to check the witches a bit.

Today my friend and I were on Slivnica for the first time and it seemed unique to us. The weather was wonderful and we were thrilled.

There is snow, the path is trodden, north wind pulls but not that strong.

Today there's sun, not blowing hard and the view will be wonderful.
Otherwise it's quite cold -5 at the base.

Which is, in winter time, the path to Slivnica that is best marked? Starting point in Martinjak, Grahovo, Cerknica?
