From the photos it's clear there's no sign of snow or ice. Still, the ground in shade is frozen and slip risk is higher.

Pity, Volk, we missed each other again. Saturday not many visitors. On top it blew pretty hard. Went alone direct from Gams's paradise.

Today on Storžič pleasant -13 with little wind. Light snow flurries, rocks a bit slippery.

Late morning towards Kališče. The path is excellently tracked, I warmly recommend using small crampons (ideal conditions for using just them). At the junction towards Bašeljski vrh a nice track turns uphill, towards Bašeljski preval only deep footprints in pairs (thanks predecessor). From the saddle into virgin steepness. Snow even over the knees, dry, slippery, completely without base. On the traverse under the wire rope due to the slope I almost swim. Strenuous, higher on the ridge already better. In the last third to the summit the wind cleared its way (almost bare)! Divine views as always intoxicate, no, I won't tire of them ...
On descent I meet three more hikers, pleasant chat, they thank me for track.
I carried ice axe and crampons, but in such conditions I don't use winter gear (what to do in dry without base). 
Current conditions definitely require a trained step.
Of course it's known that Aunt Winter is a changeable force.
