Yesterday Storžič a bit differently. From Kališče to Bašelj saddle and along the abandoned hunting path across eastern slopes towards Škarjev rob. Solitary and wild. The trail is very very hard to follow, overgrown in many places. Couldn't find the end of the trail at Škarjev rob itself, if it even exists...
From the reddish scree at the end of the traverse then on my own to the ridge, also climbing over very steep scree. To the top of Storžič along the eastern ridge. Today licking sweet scratches. big

What's the road to the hut under Storžič like now, has anyone been recently? Can you drive there with a personal car and is the hut open?

Yesterday's sunset.
Headed to the summit from Mač. On top a bit before 6 and then watched the wonderful play of colors. Trees already in autumn dress, larches still a bit short. The path itself without features, back of course with light and in silence.nasmeh

going to the top tomorrow and wonder what the road to Dom pod Storžičem is like. Can it be done with a car like CLIO (too bad no SUV!)

Today to Stožec with modest wish for snowball.
Wouldn't think it would (only) barely show on summit...

Otherwise from Kališče to top fully dry.

Two-thousander above home doorstep is grateful choice even in bad weather.
Especially if Bocelli's velvety voice softens muddy steps turning gray into cheerful colors.
Today snow more than just snowball.
To Kališče dry. Above Bašeljski preval increasing. Slowly. Higher on edge blew hard! Past cables no problem, higher on ridge winter. Very strong wind and hard fog. Not pleasant combo. 100m below summit almost chickened out. Visibility sometimes zero, got scared. Experience got me over frozen crust. At key point stuck poles and went to top. Stožec allowed only few pics of ridge then sent faithless soul to valley. On rainy descent in forest it seemed like a dream lately...
