Today on Storžič. To Kališče no snow, further just traces. To top went without crampons, for down put on small ones, because most path bare. On other parts 1 to 2 cm frozen snow or ice.

Today at top, conditions same as Miro Krivec wrote. Only hut at Kališče already a bit new year festive.

Since mountain conditions supposed to change substantially in next days, today's conditions description maybe unimportant but still.
Today Storžič from Mač via Kališče. Path to Kališče totally normal, autumn. Snow and ice on path start somewhere at junction Bašeljski vrh/Storžič. On ridge some places quite icy so needed great caution, especially descent. Didn't use crampons because they would harm more than help, would have if had micros.

From Kališče to Bašelj Saddle deep trench. Also to the summit not exactly easy. Below summit mostly blown off, otherwise up to half meter. Today unbelievably warm, on the summit not a breath. Beautiful day above clouds.

Today on Storžič, from Povelj. Path to Javornik pasture dry, onwards snowy. Today snow was hard, frozen, recommend crampons up and of course down too.

I wouldn't know. Given that the pasture lies on the south side, I think it's all clear. From Bašelj Saddle snow appears around 1800 m, but it's soft and doesn't cause problems. I'd go!

I went and crossed one snowfield without problem, avoided the other. But it's muddy and slippery.

On Friday, 31.5. Storžič looked fully snow-covered in the morning. Well, afternoon melted so much snow that on the path from Kališče (extremely friendly keeper  ) I crossed only two 20m snowfields - after getting behind the edge under summit ridge. One could be bypassed on rocks. Otherwise snow fully south-facing. Today probably almost clear.

On Saturday, 1.6. I went via SPP from Kanonir to Kališče and on to Storžič. Below summit 2 small snowfields, no issues. Continued to Dom pod Storžičem. To Škarjev rob ridge the path mostly still under snow, so winter gear mandatory for some time (my opinion ca.14 days).

On Saturday, 8.6., we planned via Škarjev rob to Storžič.
Roughly I changed plan and wrote we go from Bašelj and back via Kališče.
Interested in current north approaches.
Heard somewhere Žrelo is snow-free. How about Škarjev rob?

Over Škarjev still lots of snow. From Bašelj Saddle no problem, was there Sunday.

On Friday 7.6. done tour to Storžič. Started in Mače village first to Kališče and summit. Path clear no single snow patch. Only fogs a bit spoiled views.From summit continued to Bašelj vrh then to Mali Grintovec and Srednji vrh. Closed nice loop just pity no more views but still nice path.
