Yesterday afternoon by car to Hut under Storžič where I stayed overnight; before bed trip to Mala Poljana where they are missing one cow.
Today at 6am loop to Storžič - through Žrelo up and Škarjev rob down.
Path damp all the way, careful especially in forest - I landed on my a... 2x Snow on path only through žrelo, just one "tongue" about 5 meters; no problem. Protections OK. Weather morning clear, later cloudy and foggy, ridge and summit windy. Few hikers.
Tinky was lucky, now summit all "shitted"

Yesterday on Storžič, from Javorniški pass up, down via Bašeljski pass to Jekarica.
Trail is BP, except one tree lying across the path about 5-10min above Praprotnik hut. There is a trodden detour that leads to the torrent, then look right and soon the hut is visible. From hut to valley the trail is excellently maintained and marked.
But at Bašeljski pass there is a sign that path to Jezersko is "closed and deadly dangerous" due to falling rocks. Don't know where this idea comes from, also no info on PZS site that path is closed. And at Jekarica no warning either, so apparently ascending this path safe, descending deadly dangerous

Another question about the well-known situation at the summit. Last month it was still desperate. Literally, you can't find even a little space without (fresh) sheep shit. It's really not pleasant.
I have a friend who says he was at the summit on October 12 a few years ago and the summit was clean. Does that still hold true?
Does anyone have insider information on when they no longer release sheep up there?

@vrh123, true. A few years ago you could sit on the summit no problem Now you can too, just you'll have brown pants Summit needs fence like Tolsti vrh on Kriška gora

Hello! Yesterday with friend on Storžič up Žrelo, down Škarjev rob. Our first climbing experience (besides Triglav). One short section no protection smooth rocks so maybe not easy for beginners, helmet really mandatory Forgot stamp pad hoped at hut but no  Anyone going soon could ask for stamp?

That's really nice to hear. I was there for the first time last year but stopped at the bench about 10-20m below the summit because higher up it was really all shat on. Interesting that it was really only there at the top.

Next comes installing a net on top of Viševnik to protect against jackdaws, then equipping mountain bivouacs with anti-Czech locks...
Meanwhile monkeys climb undisturbed on Aljažev stolp, the cross on top of Mangart and the ice axe on Vrtača...

When were you last up there?
On the neighboring Tolsti vrh there's been one for decades - at least you sit down normally, put down your backpack, snack - and watch the sheep behind the fence.

True, during grazing season everything up top was "shat on" but this fence isn't really "appetizing" to me either  ...the one on Tolsti vrh, just mentioned, is much more eye-friendly.
