Today's ramble on Strelovec and picking rose hips ...
Wonderful for the eyes and soul, really the autumn view of our wonderful mountains brings joy and happiness that one is lucky to experience all this. Gorgeous autumn in the mountains.

On Sunday 28/1/18 I did the route Dom Planincev - Klemenča jama - towards Krofička and crossing below it to the Strelovec ridge. No traces of predecessors further from Klemenča jama (if any existed) were noticeable. Conditions were quite unfavorable - that's why I abandoned the idea of Krofička too. Towards Strelovec I struggled quite a bit with trudging through snow and from the start spent practically more time than the day before on Ojstrica from Lučke Bele.
Didn't feel like going back the approach path, nor had energy for the detour via Icmankova planina, so descended directly to Plesnikova planina past an interesting bivouac via some gully. Do the mentioned bivouac (or hut) and gully have any name (attached some photos)? If anyone knows by chance, as I didn't find this data on maps despite checking.

More in the video report, where two significant avalanches are visible too (one right below Krofička - at the larch, the other at the exit of the mentioned gully below Strelovec)….

Hi. Wondering if anyone has by chance hiked the path through Hudi graben in the last year?

I'm curious where the path through Hudi graben runs?
I've already studied it! Haven't been here yet.
Will have to go on this path sometime.
best regards

Oh. Haven't been there either. But I'd go in a loop from Solčava to Knez and Haudek, over Rožni vrh and Lucjan, to Strelovec, Icmankova planina and back through Hudi graben. The path through Hudi graben is drawn on the map as a marked trail between Icmankova pl. and Spodnji Icmanik. Can let you know when I go. If we're lucky, on a nice October day.

I've inquired a bit and markings are/are notzmeden
it'll be interestingcool
Exactly such a variant I also imagined. Only that detour bothers me - Zgornji Icmanik?
There I think it's possible to drop into the gully and cut across...
tell me, and we'll go

@ZoranPeternelj you have zs

@geppo is there any hunting path to Knez from Rogovilc/Govca? The gentleman in Solčava told me there used to be a marked mountain path to Knez from Robanov kot. That serpentine road brings no joy nasmeh Can also go via zs mežikanje

Best, Nino

Quite soon from Haudek I go across the meadow and cross the road for the first time. Then to Roban there are quite a few shortcuts and old markings can be found too.
Part of the path also goes along the road (lower part). You avoid the road several times. I never looked for shortcuts to Rogovilc, as I always had the car in Robanov kot.
From Strelovec I descended several times via Špilak gully to the hut in Robanov kot.
I always descended, I haven't gone up here.
best regards
Here I have the first crossing and then when I reach the road I cross it again.1

Strelovec ridge/Icmanikova planina/Hudi graben

A month ago Zoran and I debated Hudi graben. We managed to agree and today realized the agreement. At 7:30 we parked in Solčava center. Crossed road and past church up steep slope which later pulls into wide forest valley. Through muddy valley to abandoned Oprešnik homestead. Uphill through unmown abandoned meadow into forest. Quickly found marked path. Path runs above forest slopes, crosses slippery forest gullies under rocky walls. Pleasure for walking in autumn colors. Nice path! Soon at Haudek and view opens to Ojstrica, Krofičko, Križevnik. Cross pasture above Knez homestead. Along way eyeing Strelovec ridge. Summit ridge of Strelovec so "innocent", grassy with nice larches but this SV rocky ridge part shows completely different face. Rocky towers, tips stick into air above vertical walls. When planning how to tackle ridge, realize it won't be quite easy.
Reach ridge start via shortcuts and some nice traversable valley leading to ridge. It soon shows no joke. Some time still on hunting path, then see it retreats from rock and goes much lower.
To last rocky summit quite hard work awaits. Rock, narrow passages, steep, almost vertical wet scrub, even grab for "competition". At top, where rock turns grassy base (Lucjan 1679m asl) shake hands and refresh dry mouths with water. Still full of adrenaline. Follows classic ridge and descent to Icmanikova pl. Visit Logarska peč 1536m asl. Snack above cliffs in warm sun. Past Icmanikova planina descent to Hudi graben. Logging hid path a bit. Above clearing storm remains and towards us from top over rocks felled tree trunks with branched roots. Workers warn with loud shouts about falling danger. Cracks, breaks, crushes stones like train on slope. Stops cca. 100m above us.
Look down several times and now know why called Hudi graben...
To Zgornji Icmanik farm still hunt path a bit in places. From there already see church in Solčava where parked. After cca. a bit over 8 hours back at start.

From Solčava to Knez no problems. Nice picturesque path!
Rocky ridge very demanding. Detours can be found, but great caution needed!! Only for very experienced off-trail.
Hudi graben poorly marked, almost no direction signs and that's biggest problem on path.
best regards

Today from Robanov kot past Knezova planina to the summit.
Little snow, maybe max 10 cm towards the top, but the path is frozen and icy in places. Nice views in the morning, later it clouded over.

Hello hikers!

Given all the potential traffic chaos tomorrow and likely lack of time and sleep, I decided to avoid highways and roads with jams... obviously hoping it'll be much better where I'm going... so, I'm interested in ascending Strelovec via this route:
http://hribi.net/izlet/robanov_kot_strelovec_/3/490/827
But since I like returns at least a bit on different paths, how about these options (visible on the attached map!)?
a) back to the junction on the ridge and some way on the path to Koča na Klemenči jami, then on the marked path on the map to Robanov kot: it goes southeast of Ute, over Travnik and near Krofička east descent to Robanov kot
b) over Lucjan and Rožni vrh (maybe Mačkova peč too if interesting?) to Knez on marked path and same descent
c) maybe best return on the same path with slight shortcuts (at least from Strelovec direct to Knezova planina or Strelovec-Lucjan and immediately south to marked path?)

Nothing more feasible, as it'll probably be tight on time.

Thanks for help and any advice, safe steps!

You know there are occasional full closures on the road to Logarska, except Sundays, given you're tight on time.
like
djimuzl18. 04. 2019 19:21:52
The closure is from Solčava towards Logarska, between Firšt and Klemenča žaga, if coming from Celje direction to Roban no problem.

"ascent" of Strelovec via variant (a)
Nice option for return if you know the path over Črni hriber - for experienced and off-trail habituated!
(b)from Strelovec via Lucjan to Rožni vrh also possible - for experienced and off-trail habituated!
(c)this option least problematic if not tackling Lucjan via ridge
I suggest descent via Špilak, least chance to miss and stray if you don't know the area well.
Walked all described paths and know them well. That's my suggestion if you want a loop.

geppo, thanks for useful info.
How much snow if any to expect? If there is, is this path from Robanov kot usually trodden?
