Together to the mountains

Invitation After two years I've started hiking in the mountains alone again, but it's not as interesting as before. I love mountains in all forms, summer and winter. Ferratas are a special pleasure, I just need to get the gear again. But I also like hiking on marked easier paths to the peaks of the Julians, Karavanks and Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Is anyone interested in jointly discovering a new peak? 45 years old, average fitness, undemanding, happy for company of mountain lover(s).

Kili, don't know if you're on FB but there are quite a few groups whose members go to the mountains together.

Janez, I couldn't find the group you mentioned on FB. There are quite a few groups with that name, but in none is Sašo Benetek the leading force (at least not that I noticed). Can you maybe send a link?

I see that you really don't have to hike in the mountains alone if you don't want to.

As it suits everyone I prefer to go alone so no one can tell me why I'm stopping now and half an hour later somewhere else, best is to plan time and tour length yourself and where you'll go.

Because of that cheap crap called FB you really don't need to feel sorry if someone doesn't have it, they can just as well hike alone since we have hribi.net which is a professional site up-to-date with real info. If you ask someone something on FB they won't tell you anyway because of fake. But if something's on your mind, write a blog about your feats in our mountains and the whole world can see photos and read, not just those few friends.

pohodnik38: I can't agree with you there.. sorry.. e.g. Hribolazec group is great and what you wrote doesn't hold at all.. and it's a nice addition to this site. Met a lot of nice people who love mountains.

pohodnik38: Go for a beer and keep hiking in the mountains as you do. Janiel74: Hribolazec group with main Sašo B. is great, initiatives every week. I myself still hike alone in the mountains as I started.

I think we all go to the mountains for pleasure, so it's really best to go in a way that suits everyone best. Personally, especially on more demanding hikes, it's nicer for me in company. I feel safer. But it's true that you have to adapt to the group, so it's good to find ones you match well in pace and interests. We'll see!

@LG sure I will, if the weather isn't moody, after the hike a cold beer fits anyway, if the hike was exceptionally nice then two
