Is anyone going to Škrlatica tomorrow? I plan to do a circular variant Vrata-Škrlatica-Kriški podi-Bovški Gamsovec-Luknja or something else by agreement, transport can be arranged.
Regards

On Saturday I'm going to Pohorje as weather will be so-so but for this hike it's fine. Some hiker girl from MB (20-40 years) can join me, I hike slowly as you can see "here" if rain or home work it moves to next weekend. Autumn nice in hills too. Write to PM for details.

Would like to go somewhere I haven't been. Maybe to Prestreljnik or somewhere in Western Julians I don't know well. Even better abroad.

Running around I'd go right away, but not up. Rather some less crowded 4000er nearby (Weissmies, Strahlhorn, Dufourspitze, ...). Swiss mountains really insanely beautiful and I miss them. In my opinion much nicer than ours. But probably just because I'm used to ours. To foreigners our white mountains probably appeal.

To me Central Alps seem nicer than ours already because of mighty glaciers we don't have. As geologist easier to imagine processes still actively happening there, while in our hills only traces. Besides no "problems" with national belonging. Bottom line Central Alps definitely nicer. Hope to visit them again soon. If someone goes there I'll gladly join. nasmeh Problem of these mountains just that - far - about 10 hours drive. mrk pogled

Bojan bravo for this post, pluses won't be many, but since no issues with local patriotism, probably won't get upset about it velik nasmeh.

This year I really grew fond of the Western Julians (Viš, Montaž, Kamniti lovec, really a pity I had fog on Dveh špicah,...).

As for foreign Alps nothing beats the Dolomites, they are prettier than all our mountains. Local patriots swallow it!velik nasmeh mežikanje Sadly too far for day trips.

As for central Alps i.e. gneiss and granite massifs: they probably appeal to me because they are something special and different from ours. That's why I like going there. For Austrians, Swiss and other central Alps dwellers probably limestone and dolomitic Alps are something special and different. mežikanje Probably that's why there are so many foreigners from other Alpine lands here. nasmeh

No matter how you turn the words, ours are the prettiest, cause I'm home here, even there where you live you reconcile with what you have around you, unlikely any among mountain enthusiasts who wouldn't live in Bovec or Kranjska Gora but job is first. Then others follow probably some Dolomites, others Carnic Alps. Wherever in the world already everywhere it's nice in mountains here really are far and one day too little consequently more days higher costs, too little vacation, weekends too little.

Approximately one year passed since the last group hike. I had my wishes, reach as many peaks as possible around Bovec-Trenta. On day 30.10 I decided to join a group of hikers from Facebook. On 31.10 on holiday day we headed to peak Kope above Belopeška lakes, at start point 33 ladies and gents gathered. The whole time low cloudiness or higher fog accompanied us but atmosphere was excellent, despite dew on path we reached top. On top we just missed sun a bit, clear was only 100 m higher. We descended the arrival direction and went to deserved dinner and drink.
