If nothing significant changed for the worse last winter, the road to Vrata was always in solid condition and perfectly drivable with any car. Well, maybe trouble with a Ferrari, otherwise it should go.

This time only the oldest family members on Triglav. A two-day hike was planned but due to bad forecast for Sunday we did it in one go. route via Luknja na Sfingi, pause and to the top. Return to Kredarica and then via Čez Prag to the valley, where it was already nicely boiling from Kotla.

We also did the same tour on Saturday, only descending via Rž and down the valley behind Cmir. Weather was really very nice. Moon at night, at 8am on top already sun and completely windless. Procession to Kredarica and then calmly back to Staničeva. At this point I'd like to thank again the friendly caretaker at Staničeva hut who told me exactly where to turn into the valley behind Cmir. Really very friendly and complete opposite of the staff at Kredarica. And the hut and surroundings are much calmer. Thanks again...

My name is Tevž and I'm ten years old. On Thursday and Friday I was with dad Iztok and Goldy on Triglav via Plemenice. The path was tiring, but I really enjoyed climbing. I met some new little flowers, but unfortunately forgot their names. We met chamois, ibex and even a squirrel flew past us. We reached the top in six hours, followed by baptism, then descent to Kredarica where we had reserved sleeping. Since it was only around four pm I suggested to dad that we go straight to the valley and I'll sleep in my own bed. Unfortunately we stayed at Kredarica, where I watched the wonderful sunset with Goldy and soon fell fast asleep. After breakfast we descended to Staničev dom where we had a short break. There Goldy met an acquaintance from Zagreb whom he met in Nepal and then they talked the whole way in a language unknown to me. At first we thought to go to the valley behind Cmir, but because of the sun we rather went via Tominškova, which was almost entirely in shade. I also happily climbed on this path, although it's quite crumbly and lots of scree on the way. When we were already close to the valley my legs hurt quite a bit, but the thought of deserved ice cream at Aljažev dom gave me extra energy. The chocolate pancakes at Kredarica were good too, just a bit small. Dad and Goldy were also very satisfied with sausage and barley soup, and the staff was very friendly despite the "crowd". For the next goal we agreed to go to Škrlatica, and I'd like to go to Triglav again, but via another route. Best regards. Tevž

What a heartfelt description of a demanding route. Obviously we'll admire the enthusiastic young mountaineer many more times on the forum or even live in the mountains. Good luck Tevž!

You have to start early, as skills in mastering rock and depth perception can't be learned in mature years. Stars are also good to recognize in youth... and the Milky Way better name the Slovenian way: Roman road. For successful shooting set ISO to at least 3200 and time to 20s. Safe steps ahead!

On a sunny Saturday, 27.8., the ascent to Triglav was like a pilgrimage. Many of us conquered it from all possible sides. Even on the most demanding approach to daddy there was exceptional crowding. Honestly speaking, my husband and I did not expect it to such an extent, but it was even worse than Tevž showed in the picture. Understandable, last holiday and August Saturday and weather kitschily beautiful. The Bamberg path or path via Plemenice is exceptional and magnificent, from Luknja onwards picturesque, really offers views, but demands from the mountaineer strength, physical fitness and experience in dealing with cables in a nearly vertical and very airy wall as well as the ability of free climbing on the unprotected section of the path. Therefore Tevž, sincere congratulations to you and dad for your feat and good luck in the future, perhaps we will even meet on Škrlatica, that mountain lady is also my next goal. And through your published photos I relived the Saturday. We 2 returned to the valley the same day via Prag. Then the sun properly colored faces and all body parts that peeked out from the clothes. The day and the tour were in one word - FANTASTIC! val.

There was no crowd because there was a notice that the path to Triglav from this side is closed due to renovation works (Zaplanja-Škrbina and onwards to the summit). We changed direction due to the notice and still summited from Kredarica
