Lino, I went down this path after a light shower, I'm not sure I would get down alive, in mid-summer I wouldn't know what to give to have ice axe and crampons for the grass then!!! So up yes, down never again unless it's burning under my heels, it's 10x better down via Žmavcarje.....

The passage past the Gamsov skret overhang is called Gornja lašta, for descent however the more usable passage is the one below it which is secured with a steel cable.

Garmont, I didn't know that name, but Gornja lašta is a nice Slovenian name for the passage across Gamsov skret. I like this path, because from here to the left past the famous bench along the chamois trail towards Skuta, Dolgi hrbet or Grintovec; or to the right side along the abandoned hiking path under Slemen towards Skuta, Rinka or Turkish Mountain.

Hi. I'm interested which path is more suitable for up and which for down from the starting point below Rinka waterfall. In the description there is one through Žleb and one over Kotliče? Thanks and nice day.

Path is completely ok. A bit frozen here and there. So some caution won't hurt.

Yesterday (20.12.2015) at Turkish Mountain from Kamniško sedlo via Kotliče…if anyone interested in conditions (via Kotliče) attached link to video…given no precipitation for a while, conditions will stay similar… Best, Klemen

Conditions similar to before Saturday, it hasn't snowed up to 2200m. Spur made visible from below. That's from my side. But on Sunday I saw no one going up despite nice weather Good luck

Hello, tomorrow I plan to go through the gully to Rinke. Maybe via SW gully to Kranjska Rinka. A bit in dilemma due to today's rain. If anyone has info on today's conditions in KSA, I'd appreciate it. Regards

From camera at Kamniško sedlo, you see snow falling. All depends on precipitation intensity during the day. Check camera now and then. Lp.

Conditions similar to Grintovec path. Above 1400m asl, still lots of snow sinking moderately in morning hours. Otherwise no issues.
