Velika and Mala Mojstrovka

Does anyone plan to go to Little Mojstrovka via Hanz's on Friday? Weather forecast excellent for now.

Going from LJ, would be glad for a companion, also have transport.

The selected topic is the best approximation or better said part of the hike to five peaks starting from Vršič pass. We did a tour visiting the peaks:
Nad Šitom glava, Little Mojstrovka, Great Mojstrovka, Last Mojstrovka and Vršič. Nice tour in windy but sunny weather, which we finished with ascent to Vršič summit, from which is the best view on Grebenc, Little Mojstrovka, Nad Šitom Glava with Robičja ridge, Humlekov and of course can't miss Špik group to Škrlatica and Prisank. Unfortunately alpine flowers almost none left, but larches slowly yellowing. More about the tour at:

From Vršič via Hanz's to Little and also to Great Mojstrovka. On Hanz's I was alone and no problems, towards top of Little Mojstrovka rock was even frozen in some places.
Quickly fog and sun alternated. From Great Mojstrovka planned towards Travnik, but due to fog changed mind and also skipped Suhi vrh.
Still nice, and to Jasna went to greet Vitranc.

Yesterday, 10.11.2019 we headed to Little Mojstrovka. There were already some hikers ahead of us, so the track was quite well made. In the lower part the track was quite deep, further along the ridge edge where it was more windblown and consequently lower track. In the upper part where it led over slabs more caution was needed especially on descent. After twelve the snow was already quite heavy and "southern" where there was sun. Lower part (scree) was in shade and snow had not consolidated. Altogether we met 20-30 people on ascent and descent.

Yesterday 24.11.2019 I went to Little Mojstrovka, by car to Tonka's hut (could have gone to the top too because the road is really well cleared) then along the old road to Vršič summit and crossing the avalanche to the saddle. Up to here the path was still nicely trodden velik nasmeh from there on I had to blaze a new trail all the way to the top of m. Little Mojstrovka.eek
Weather was very unpleasant and foggy so I didn't continue to Great Mojstrovka, towards the top strong wind was still blowingmrk pogled, but what can I say that's the weather and I don't regret going at all mežikanjenasmeh.
I wanted to add some more photos but it doesn't work, if someone can explain the procedure how to add a photo I'll be very happyvelik nasmeh.

07.12.2019, 6 am, quite foggy, nothing indicated a good day. The closer I drive to Vršič, the more the sky opens and shyly shows its blue. We put on winter gear, leave poles in the car and wade into quite crusty snow. It broke through strongly towards the gully to the ridge, then poetry, just right hard for nice walking to the top, of course with crampons and ice axe. Beautiful blue sky without a breeze. At the top we meet a couple of ski tourers, chat nicely and take photos. This wonderful weather encouraged us to tackle Great Mojstrovka too. Really something hard to forget.

Hello. Does anyone know what the conditions are like in the couloirs of Mojstrovka? And what's the skiing like from Little or Great Mojstrovka? Thanks for the reply.

Went to check it out, namely Pripravniško. Approach without issues, couloir hard so crampons and tools grip nicely. Jump is frozen and snowed, no problem for experienced. Only the wind bothered a bit, filling goggles exactly at the steepest spot. Exit without issues, compact. Only the big serac above the couloir bothers. As long as temps are well below zero, it'll probably hold (you never know), when it warms up, leave the couloir alone until it comes down. Top of Little Mojstrovka has lots of visitors on normal route all day. Wind spiced things up and cleared the air at the same time. Views divine because of that. Great Klek could just grab it...

What are the conditions on mojstrovka? I'm deciding between begunjščica, stol and mojstrovka but don't know what conditions are like up there. I'd go on Sunday.
