No, to avoid misunderstanding, there was no judging anyone from my side, everyone should do what they want. Everyone is responsible for their actions (although consequences often affect others too).
My intent is always to express an opinion and that doesn't mean attacking, "foušarija", moralizing etc. but just an opinion. I've noticed several times that if you express your opinion here that someone doesn't like or disagrees with, you're really "attacked"...as if we should only praise, write as some want, sometimes be patronizing etc...
And something about cables and physics...true, physics is not my "strong side" but by some logic it seems to me that if everyone hung on the cable like that, some "service" would be needed much sooner than otherwise. But I don't agree that these cables are intended for that way of hanging, in other words "swinging".
In short, in certain environments, certain situations we behave accordingly. Such hanging (swinging) might really be innocent, fun and funny, but in my opinion inappropriate and unnecessary.

Just moralizing from very "experienced" ferrata climbers, hikers, mountaineers...
Similar on our roads. Better 50 km/h on roads outside settlements and creating traffic jams than driving at the prescribed speed. Just to be "safe", since radio and TV constantly warn, slowly and carefully! Phhhhhh!!!

As you know I'm a supporter and fan of ferratas, despite this I find swinging around and various posing and swinging with who knows what figures and positions, to put it mildly, ridiculous and monkey-like. Please, just my opinion! No moralizing that it's dangerous (because, see below, it's not), that cables aren't meant for that (why not, one function of a tree in the jungle is also for monkeys to hang on it),... And of course, it's no Slovenian specialty, as you see such posing even on serious sites like bergsteigen.com and yes, unfortunately also on serious ferratas.
The thing is that such models think they are some big shots. We all know they are safely clipped in and that doesn't require much courage, and that with such posing they can only impress really mountaineering illiterate people. So unclip from the cable and then swing.  Why not? After all, various El Capitans and such also climb without protection. Then you're not bigger shots, at least not for me. Quite the opposite.
And of course, do what you want, I have the right to my own opinion!

Let it be clear: On the info board of Hvadnik ferrata nowhere is it mentioned that hanging this way or that is forbidden. That's why the cables are there, right? In case of a fall the forces are at least ten times the static load, so taking photos certainly doesn't harm anyone, least of all the protections. Also no rescues due to this activity so far anywhere, so no need to scare visitors who come just for their dose of adrenaline!
Maybe this activity just gets on the nerves of people who can't stand rooster-strutting on forums, there are quite a few like that. But if we look at forums, practically as many of the others who faithfully document every step. Poster Todi is among them, because he goes everywhere with a GoPro camera on his helmet, but if it contributes to his better self-image, thank God. It doesn't bother me.

ms_primoz, the point of prohibition (or more broadly, legislation) is precisely that we don't have to bother with moralizing, because it's clear that what is fun for one is sinful for another (Slovenia is still groaning under that morality), but by no means the same for everyone.

You're wrong. Look at the 3rd post on the previous page. This just proves how little some of you read EVERYTHING that's written. You read minimally.
