Hi, little horse, hi,
I'm in a hurry,
over hills, over meadows,
quick, quick from Ljubljana,
hi, little horse, hi.
(Anica Černe)
And I quickly spurred them on, the little horses under the hood. The closer I got to Jezersko, the more the sun shone. I park at the church, step out into a fresh, clear day and when I set off, the clock on the nearby belfry strikes quarter past eight. Walking is pleasant, path too, almost no mud due to recent rain. Passing by Žmitek, smoke from the chimney. As I pass the house, the air pleasantly "smells" of burning logs. Follows a steeper ascent, a bit slippery on wet roots, then easier again and soon on the forest road. Left along it, not too far and again steeper right into the forest. High above me the sun shines, too high to warm me a bit. But no matter, soon at Žingerc saddle, where the sun bathes me and where I first step on snow. By the way, there is actually no snow. A longitudinal meter or so on the path from the saddle upward is all that's left of it. Halfway between the saddle and the ridge I reach the sun, which pleasantly warms me all the way to the top. Up there also a light breeze, more for variety, as it was too weak to freeze you. Views all around wonderful, Kočni still a bit dusted with snow, dissolving mists in the valleys and wonderful sun above me. Then it was time to put the path under my feet again and slowly return to valley everyday life. Really nice and today also solitary tour. All day except for myself I met no one.
No path is flat,
no path is poor,
but every one is demanding
and yours one alone - MAIN.
