Count on about 3 hours. In addition to the listed equipment, you can also have ski poles and skis and mandatory knowledge to use all the equipment.
Markings are nicely tucked away under the snow in winter. Only signposts on tall poles might peek out from under the warm snow blanket somewhere.
But since there are plenty of "crazies" of all sorts everywhere, trails are usually ski-tracked and hole-punched in winter, especially on such popular peaks. So you can't miss it if you have at least roughly good orientation.

Hello
I'm wondering where on Pokljuka to find the cheapest accommodations in winter time?

Thanks

Camping is forbidden in TNP!!!

Otherwise there are also some boarding houses at Goreljek, Sport Hotel, and at Rudno polje a new biathlon center with some containers.

Today sunny weather was forecasted, so I decided to drive to Pokljuka and 'do' the local peaks. The route was: Rudno polje-Konjščica-Studorski preval-Ablanca-V. Draški vrh-Srenjski preval-Viševnik. The tour was nice but weather didn't hold, fog and low clouds, so practically no views. Otherwise conditions for hiking are very good.

Since a nice day was forecast, had to use it with a nice loop tour. I was early so watched hikers from summits as they climbed to Studorski preval, most continued to Vodnikova. On my today's peaks no crowds. Weather wonderful, no breeze, sun burned quite a bit. Was recently on Mali Draški vrh but today couldn't resist and went up again.
Climbing to Mali Draški vrh rocks were pleasantly warm under hands. Climb to Viševnik and descend via it to Pokljuka where car waited at Rudno polje. Legs were quite happy nasmeh
A little more and I'll be at Studorski preval1

17.10.2011 one of the last nice dry and clear days for two-thousanders.., with colleague initially decided only M. Draški vrh but since Viševnik on the way couldn't miss it. Start below ski slope. Overtook friendly lady twice who went on path we blazed our own. At top meet again short descent to Srenjski preval then direct up steep crumbly slope to Mali Draški vrh. Time allows so ascent to Veliki Draški vrh. From small steep pathless where careful find passage poles fold away grab crumbly rock in places. After minutes scrambling just ridge grass walk careful wet slip risk. On ridge spot two hikers sunbathing. Short chat descend to path to Veliki Draški vrh summit soon little man directs right off path to top reached under 30 min.
At top meet two nice older gentlemen (Trieste Slovene origin) entertaining with jokes.
Descend ridge to Studorski preval from there few min up fourth two-thousander then descent to start Rudno polje.
Great views friendly people day for soul..

We saw only those two Triestines descending from VDV, under Studorski we overtook one older lady. From Ablanca we saw you at one rock (if I'm not mistaken) a couple of minutes before the cheese hut at Konjščica.nasmeh
