Visoka Ponca - Strug - Vevnica

"rutil - wtf?"

where's the problem?
GRS exists to help people in trouble - whether they're to blame themselves or not!!
If someone doesn't like the job or doesn't feel like helping even people who are to blame for their own troubles (lack of gear, bad tour choice,...) then don't do the job.

In Adidas sneakers the best grip for me, so I wear gojzlarje only when there is so much snow that high gaiters are needed.
Helmet, harness... sure good to have, but he knows well himself.
If you fall here no helmet helps, where you'll end up, maybe on some rock. Primož will tell you.
If you're not masters of high mountains I don't know what you're babbling about, I've been on such terrain for some time and other hobbies don't interest me at all compared to this.

It doesn't hurt me at all, whatever you say.
Everyone has something that brings him joy, it bothers some, most are enthusiastic about it. Good that I'm up here, don't know who I'd pick.

good luck

Congratulations, Dejan, for the completed tour, just safe steps, whether running or any other kind onwards.

Typical Slovenian envy from ''slovenceljnev'', Vesna Godina would say. And interesting, also from alpinists and mountain rescuers who can't sign with full name and surname on this portal. Sure, under pseudonym it's easier to moralize, write nonsense and trash someone's achievements in any activity. Sure, if an alpinist crossed the mentioned ridge all would be ok. But we know accidents in our and foreign mountains happened to top alpinists too not just ordinary hikers.

Tomo Česen: ''Fortunately we can move freely in mountain world and each is responsible for self''. True, and true everything on the web link that Igor Zlodej attached in his comment. But be honest, isn't almost everyone of us, from ordinary hiker – ''šodrovac'' to mountain guide, sometimes gone on a tour poorly equipped, climbed a peak or crossed a ridge without gear and protection. Admit it, we've become quite individualists too, proving ourselves in all fields not just sport, to ourselves and the environment we live in. Maybe ripe for detailed analysis. Everyone of us, some more some less, does what he likes and feels capable of. So full honors to Dejan Grm for successful crossing. Definitely worth congratulations, as Drago Praprotnik writes.

Due to absence the above comment is a bit late. And no hard feelings to all participants on this portal.

Well, I have to chime in. Dejan, congrats on the achievement and don't mind the negative comments.
I'm already quite "of age", hehe, haven't set any records, but I know what drives you. I wish you all the best on your paths, keep posting your route descriptions, take care and good luck wherever you are.
Maybe we'll meet someday up there somewhere in the heavens. I'll get the beer.

People are different. Everyone has their own personality, we don't think the same, everyone sets different goals in life. Someone goes to the mountains and chases sunrises and sunsets to capture them with a camera. Another enjoys views for hours and time doesn't matter to him at all. A third takes minimal gear to be faster, time is important to him. A fourth hangs in an overhanging wall, tied to a rope and studies the details of a route and when he finally succeeds, he experiences indescribable satisfaction.
Everyone knows themselves best, someone risks more, someone less.
Let's respect others' goals, even if they clash with our logic.
It's precisely the diversity that enriches us and in the end makes this forum more diverse and interesting.
Finally, my congrats to Dejan for this nice achievement.

If you're curious about the time, I could do it without walking stick and with healthy knee in 5 h.

but don't castrate me, because we're on timenasmeh

good luck everyone, weekend will be nice - path under feet

you provoked me so I took a day off yesterday and did the thing in the opposite direction. That is Vevnica then to V. Ponca. Also jumped to the top of Vrh Špice. At the entrance to the ferrata on Vevnica snow causes no problems, the rest was already described. Only to V. Ponca I went up and down the Italian side-ferrata. Some clouds otherwise enjoyed the whole day.
good luck

at the entrance to ferrata you didn't need ice axe?

The ridge is dry. Snow is only in the gully before the secured part of the path to Vevnica (direction from Strug). I don't know how access to the ridge is for example via Via della Vita. My friend and I did the traverse Middle Ponca - Kotova špica from Tamar last week. nasmeh
