@viharnik, instead of spamming the forum, you could have carried a new cross up there long ago, and connect with those from Resia who built it before, maybe they'll even help you, although as far as I know not many are left who are still able-bodied.

Better nothing on the summit than something, because what hikers do lately with crosses, towers is vile. Climbing, hanging, destroying crosses and such.

On Sunday 30.10. we ascended High Kanin via Gozdec. Descent past Peter Skalar's hut. The whole loop took us 9 hours including lunch and short breaks. It came to a bit over 1600m of ascent and a bit over 14 km. Obviously there will be a new cross on the summit sometime in the future, as two guys were measuring around the old remains. The waymarkers were also busy, as they nicely renewed the marks on the path to Peter Skalar's hut.

Gozdec - ruins - Veliki Dol - V. Kanin - Kanin ledges - DPS - D gondola station - B gondola station.
A bit of everything, first trampled, then wind-blown, crusty, hard, icy etc.

Snow there. Markings very poor in the last part of the path. But passable.. Cable car running.

To Prestreljenik no problems. No stamp at the top. If going from Prestreljenik to the window, cross some snowfields. Recommend crampons. Didn't go to High Kanin.
