Another wonderful day on Ljubeljščica Peak. Path to Zelenica nicely trodden, further on good track too.

Yesterday from Ljubelj past Zelenica to Ljubeljščica Peak, down also to Spodnji Plot. Border trail slippery in places. Towards summit wind-blown snow in spots. Many visitors but few went beyond hut.

Due to new dry snow (50cm+) and path over Šentanski plaz untouched (no track, no skiers yet) goal changed to Ljubeljščica Peak (Triangel), no regrets, path super, views excellent. Begunjščica waits for snow to settle.
No crampons needed, snow dry. Summit crowded with skiers, little space, hut full with young hikers on winter camp.

It was also a wonderful day today. On Zelenica it was -15 degrees C cold, higher up in the sun it was nicely warm.

Nice day for enjoying the spring sun we had today. Large part of the path is bare, on the service road some icy sections, the rest just right crusty snow for easy walking.

To Spodnji Plot and Vrh Ljubeljščice I went today. Up the border path, which I don't recommend yet, because you have to cross quite a few icy patches. Šentanc and central to Begunjščica still nicely covered, and I saw some at "work" too. Nice weather.

From Ljubelj along Graničarska to Spodni Plot and then to Ljubeljščica Peak.
Graničarska is quite icy, plus some new snow fell so ice slabs weren't visible.
Walked a bit above Zelenica, sun was warming nicely. Hut was open.
Back by road. Really great day. Spotted 2 on Šentanc too.

In the afternoon went to check conditions at Ljubelj if skiable yet. Skied from Triangel and Stari Ljubelj.

Ljubelj, Zelenica hut, Spodnji plot, Ljubeljščica Peak.
Central gully crowded, Šentanc too. One went to Lenuhova.
Down by road, many ice patches visible.
Weather so-so, cirrus clouds.
Saw helicopter too.
Found missing female hiker.
