Today with Tinky to Vrtača via Mala Glava, despite the weather, lots of visitors as we met quite a few hikers. Otherwise mostly cloudy, windy and light snow showers all the way. Descent via the normal route, which has a fallen tree in one section but the path is somehow routed over it. For now the path is still dry, nasmeh . Finish with a break at Zelenica.

It's true what Metod wrote, real winter tour with quite strong wind on the ridge. Fog wasn't that thick yet, but quite cold.

Once again over Mala glava to Vrtača. Matej joined us too. Down we went via ipsilon. We were early enough that snow conditions were favorable enough for walking. On top it was blowing quite a bit. Quite a few hikers. Transport road quite icy, but along the edge it's doable.

Over Mala glava to Vrtača. Nice day, lots of hikers, lively at Zelenica. Path over Mala glava quite followable.
On descent already quite hot, so skipped Srednji vrh.

Today past Dom na Zelenici to Vrtača over Mala Glava. Descent on marked path then above Zelenica along Ljubeljščica ridge back to Ljubelj.
Over Mala Glava I noticed even more stone men than before. Few hikers in this end. Fall is coming.mežikanje

Today fog lingered up to 1600m, then pure blue and wonderful views. Snow only on shady ledges, southern slopes dry.

Again to this nice area, Mih and I went over Mala glava to the top, where it was like a fairytale. For descent we took Y, as it was covered like mid-January.
Weather top-notch, could use a bit of breeze as we were hot, nasmeh

From Ljubelj, past the hut on Zelenica, over Mala Glava to Vrtača. Down the classic.
Nice weather, lots of flowers, quite a few hikers too.
I got a bit tangled, but solved it quickly.

From Ljubelj over Mala Glava to the top. Descent on marked path to Dom pri izviru Završnice and then back past Dom na Zelenici to the valley.
Snow no obstacle anywhere, in places you can still cool off with it.nasmeh
Marked path from Vrtača above Suha saddle badly damaged by this year's avalanches.

On the hunting trail there is a damaged ladder and some fallen trees as well.1

Vrtača appears to us across the steep slopes.3
Signpost at the junction, which is really hard to miss. It used to be completely different.4

Last Saturday in June (26.6.) we did this route. Nice weather and crowds on Vrtača and surrounding peaks, but on the path over Mala Glava we were alone. Ahead of us, much higher, some folks, behind us no one. Didn't linger long on top as hardly space to stand, let alone sit, so we rested our souls a bit lower. Lucky with coffee at the hut, no long wait, and managed to drink it in the shade. Great time nasmeh
