Today in the Delo supplement Oni, they predict weather during the summer.
St. Lucy's days (from Dec 13 to Christmas predict what the weather will be in all twelve months) predict average summer. All three days (18.,19.,20.), which show the summer months, were cold and foggy, but clear.
June will be unstable all the way to the new moon-19. Around the bonfire(24.) there will be a few hot days, then it will cool down again. July will start with heat. Until the dog days(23.) there will be pleasant summer weather, just right for vacation. At the end of the month it will cool down again for a few days and variable weather will last until Aug 10, which will bring us real summer heat. Such weather is expected until the end of the month. August will be a true vacation month.
After a few cooler days at the beginning of September, the weather will improve. New moon (16.) will bring the first autumn chill, a lot of rain, local floods are also possible. Then autumn will show itself in all its magic in the last September days with warm, almost summer-mild days...that's what they say. The first October days will be nice.
So there will be weather...whatever it may be. Sometimes walking on the clouds in the rain or at least in the dew also has its charm. Anyway, if we don't go to the mountains, we'll pick mushrooms in the forest. And that's real recreation too.

Today one of the bigger weather forecasting blunders this year... Rain since morning, although it was forecasted to be fairly sunny in the morning and only individual showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon... Shame on shame...

@turbo, I agree. Last week Kamniška Bela was quite wet, above it Konj and Rzenik in clouds, but no rain at all despite bad forecast. Similarly this Sunday when we were on Dobrča. Otherwise deprived, at least view-wise, but still nice. So yes, if we listened to forecasters too often, we'd just sit and sit at home full of bad mood, but this way despite ugly clouds we can head out on fairly easy hikes or at least a short walk.

In Ljubljana a severe thunderstorm with hail raged. Medium-sized hail fell for quite a while and caused no major damage. A few more storm pics .

Up here in our hills there was only a little drizzle, 2cm hail fell about 10 years ago and that was the only such occurrence parents remember.

Then you got away well up there . Here a few years ago hail thick as a small walnut fell and pierced the new corrugated Anhovo roofing (Swiss license) like a joke, so I had to replace two sides of the roof.
