At 11:30 today in Ljubljana it suddenly clouded over heavily from NW, a stronger wind blew, then soon abundant hail from the sky.
I was just in the attic, which came in handy, as the wind helped so despite the good 3M face mask I didn't suffocate. In 5 hours of constant work I cut 25m2 slabs (6cm) + all walls into squares.
Whoever needs quality, reliable and durable power tools, I recommend DeWalt, available cheaply at G M&M Grosuplje, bring any old power tool (faulty or not) and get 50 eur discount on new DeWalt at 210 eur price .

The Langtang village below Tomaž's mountain Langtang Lirung is no more. It was destroyed by an earthquake-triggered landslide of rocks, ice and mud.
I dug up news from India, where I noticed a lady in a green puffer jacket on the picture, who in the documentary about Tomaž explained that he was at their home and they considered him completely their own and called him Sati - divine, the one you can trust. At least I think it's her with the children who survived. There were 200 local dead there.

40cm of new snow fell overnight at Kredarica, on the existing 85cm. Maybe we can still ski in June after all.

During a Mercator visit, nice view of the snowy KSA.
The Jež ridge and Vrh Korena are still green, above ~2100m it's snowy.

First behave properly , second I said exactly what I saw.
Mountaineers usually know that the snow line changes quite a bit depending on the aspect, proximity of massifs and pronounced ridges and closed mountain valleys.
So Kamniško sedlo has whitened quite a bit above 1700m, while the much higher Lučki dedec to the south is only lightly dusted.
In the area of Stol and more to NW the snow line was higher.

The heat these days really spares no one, but with a bit of ingenuity I found out I have a refreshing paradise beach just 3km from home!
Even the Sava has warmed up to 19°C these days, while the car thermometer showed high 38°C on the road.
On the Sava I found an excellent natural and quiet pool, next to it on the left the "Niagara Falls" were cooling me off, good also for water massage. In short, I thought I was already in paradise. Even better when the falls massage your back, and over them you have the Šmarna gora massif right on view. To get to the quiet pool by the falls, watch out for the muddy smooth-washed bottom rocks that are slippery, but mountaineers won't have big problems accessing the solitary rocks sticking out.
In short, with a bit of courage I recommend to every Ljubljana resident, no, to everyone who can come to Tacen below Šmarna gora .

Despite the heat, the Prekmurje tomato and pumpkin harvests are not to be ashamed of, if we don't count the fruit trees in between, which from the swelter are almost plucked half-bald to the top.

LG, that recommendation regarding clothing applies also in mid-summer. Especially for longer tours (more than 1-day).

That a harsh winter is coming, the birds around already say, so for this year I stocked up with a bit more high-altitude firewood from under Tošč.
How it is with gas everyone feels who pays around 300 eur just for one month of heating the house, as much as 5 m3 of beech firewood cost me to cover the whole winter until May 2016.
After finishing stacking in less than 4h, lunch just fell into me or I into it, I don't remember anymore .

On the radio in the long-term meteorological forecast they announced that this year there will be a very harsh winter, because Viharnik has prepared a huge stock of firewood for the approaching winter. And they are also high-calorie, since they really glow. (Joking lie.)!
