Even on a short day you can get somewhere on foot. The two of us went in the afternoon along known paths to the dam. To see how it looks. We haven't walked here for a long time.

Now we're gradually building fitness for joint outings, conquering mainly local hillocks and proper behavior on paths. We've already circled Bohinj Lake, Living Karst Museum etc. We hope Roxette will perform at least approximately as well in the hills as Tango.
If anyone's interested, last year's report and pics from our active vacation in South Tyrol are posted under the title "Jezera Sopranes". During vacation in Kranjska Gora we among others summited 2k Ojstrnik (thanks, Turbo for the suggestion) and lonely mule track to Berebica and Na Glavi (we weren't alone there even!).
Otherwise I'll post possible comments or path reports on the forum under appropriate titles, even if dog company is along. ]]>

Swimming season starts May 15 and lasts to September 15, now we could freely walk all beaches.
On the way there we also walked Napoleon's path (parked at church in Vežica, recommend!), skipped Trieste by tram due to high temps, really enjoyed two days on beaches and Grado town, on the way back explored natural reserve Isola della Cona and went all the way to Soča outflow, which still shows its characteristic blue-green shades there too. It was quite strenuous due to heat and almost no shade (3 hours), spiced up with birds, flowers and horses.
Definitely coming back and highly recommend visiting these places off main season! ]]>
