Which flower is this?

Apolonija14. 08. 2014 18:16:26
Gita, hi! my opinion:

it's shield-leaved sorrel
cinquefoil has finished flowering
it's rhapontic rhubarb
likewise Jacquin's houseleek
heart-leaved speedwell, not 100%
delicate broomrape from the reddish flower color
not sedge, but troublesome alpine sorrel
alpine thistle
Pyrenean dragonhead

bird researcher, your little flower is cinquefoil=Potentilla, I see too little to determine the species. Maybe someone else more.... regards

GITA, Apolonija has already answered you. Only no. 6 is common marigold - it's an alien - came to us during WWI with horse fodder. We usually see it also at the Komna hut. No. 8 - Flowers of Kamniški vrh - determined only as broomrape - Orobanche sp.

Ornitolog, your little flower will be Crantz's cinquefoil - Potentilla crantzii - the golden one is similar, but has an orange spot at the base of the flower.

Brane, of course it's common fireweed, I have it in the garden too. I was thinking of it, but couldn't remember the Slovenian name. Then I tried with flea-bane and "waited" for you.

Probably fragrant daphne, just somewhat pale in color. nasmeh Could also be striped, which has lighter color and flowers later than fragrant daphne.
More knowledgeable flower experts will tell more precisely. nasmeh

I'm rooting for striped, specifically because of everything otiv said: pale color, flowering time-(if photo from now)- and also growth altitude. It seems the flowers are smooth not hairy and I see (more in imaginationmežikanje) on outer side of corolla tube stripes. Definitely not alpine which is white or common. Best regards

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Striped daphne (scientific name Daphne striata) is a low shrub from the daphne family.

The permanently woody plant grows as a small evergreen shrub among scrub or on gravelly lawns in the subalpine belt at altitudes from 1000 to 2800 meters, usually reaches a height between 5 and 15, rarely up to 40 centimeters. Numerous relatively thin spreading stems are prostrate and have smooth bark. Leaves are lanceolate, leathery, up to 3 cm long. Flowers, usually 8 to 12 of them, are pale red in color with slightly noticeable stripes, after which the daphne got its name. From the flowers develop elliptical berries, initially orange-yellow, which later turn brown. Flowering time stretches from May to August. The daphne contains the poison dafnetoxin.

We actually can't give an exact assessment with such a photo. Only with a precise macro shot. At such a height both grow. The fragrant one pales at the end of flowering. I too have never properly photographed those stripes on the outer side of the flowers on the striped one.

Striped daphne grows only in the Alps. "This plantlet is quite similar to fragrant daphne, only it grows higher in the mountains and, understandably, therefore flowers one or two months later"-Alenka M.
Fragrant daphne's home - Polhograjska Grmada, Zasavje hills, some areas in Karavanke and reaches about 1500 m.

ornitolog, judge yourself. lp

Thanks Franci for info. In the picture you have Blagaj daphne, which also smells. Actually our other daphnes also smell -striped, common, alpine. Laurel-leaved less so. Nice Sunday to you and all other visitors!
