Today a hot mountain floral greeting from the Triglav Lakes. Certain flowers are really wilting or already wilted. For example, Zois' bellflowers are completely dried up, edelweiss has already finished blooming, rock bellflowers here have finished blooming.
First time I encountered fringed gentianella-rasel on the scree below Štapci.1
There were several in a small area.2
fringed gentianella - Gentianella ciliata.3
There is a huge amount of cup-shaped or rough-textured gentian from the Pri jezeru mountain onwards. There is really a lot of it and it is at the beginning of flowering. Due to the heat, it can be seen that some plants will dry up before flowering.4
Pannonian gentian is rare - rasel around Dvojno jezero.5
Abraščevolistni thrift in flower.6
Močvirska samoperka is in the same condition.7
There are plenty of navadne smetlike on the whole path from planina Pri jezeru onwards.8

I too admired the blue flower, which I saw for the first time on the path to Stanič hut, and now at least I know it's glandular eyebright.

Today our summer beauties from the Rinka tour. Up to the Ledine hut altitude it's really all dry. Towards the saddle though all is still blooming, especially in shaded moist depressions, rock fissures. Below Rinka summit, bellflowers are in full bloom.
In some hollow below the saddle still stemless gentian.1
Among the scree still common biscutella laevigata.2
Among the rocks there is a lot of Carinthian cerastium-cerastium carinthiacum subsp.carinthiacum.3
On the entire climbing path to Rinka a lot of crusty rock cress.4
Under the saddle I also noticed common rhodothamus chameacistus- probably I have noticed it on some tours already, only it didn't catch my eye.5
Also here like on the last trip to Skuto plenty of starry saxifrage.6
Starry saxifrage in full bloom.7
Wilted alpine androsace.8
Zois' bellflowers still on the mountain.9
Under the saddle all blue-haired gentianella competing with Froelich's gentian.10
Nice bunch of bristly gentian.11
It is large as I mentioned Froelich's gentian.12
In between is Clusius' gentian.13
Clusius' gentian photographed purely from close up.14
This is mouse-ear hawkweed - Hieracium pilosella.15

Anka, thanks! You're right. I photographed flowering alpine rock-cress too, just not the best pic. Leaves are indeed identical. But I mistook seeds for buds.

Some more already known flowers from today's morning ramble on Velika Planina.
Common broom, yes everything is littered with it.1
The slečnik is flowering for the second time this year.2
I also encountered the resasti sviščevec.3
Rušnata zvončica.4
Woolly-headed thistle, one wouldn't want to lie on it.5
I think it's the bleščeči grintavec.6

Today also flowers from the tour to Triglav huts. I'll add text to them tomorrow.
Creeping saxifrage-white. There are quite a few along the entire path.1
Variifolia potentilla. We usually overlook this flower along the path. We don't see its small relative at all.2
Polyphylla perennial. It appears in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and also here, only rare specimens. In the main it is unknown.3
Cup-shaped (rough) gentianella. It grows everywhere now. There are no more marmots. At least not on this path. In the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, the marmot was still flowering a week ago.4
Stemless carline thistle - Carlina acaulis L. This year I noticed it for the first time. Seen on the path to Bohinjska vrata.5
The cup-shaped gentianella has completely replaced the gentian. It is all blue everywhere. Hikers say look, gentian. That's all about knowing our mountain flowers. The main thing is that they notice some flower on hikes and just rush past.6
Creeping saxifrage-pink variant.7
Evergreen saxifrage - light variant.8
Yes, identifying saxifrages still leaves me with too many puzzles. Now I know the crusty, evergreen, and starry ones - haven't met this one in the Julians. This is musk saxifrage. Explanation in the post below.9
Evergreen saxifrage has company. Beside it is the fringed saxifrage.10
South Alpine edelweiss or single-flowered edelweiss. It should grow only around Triglav and nearby areas. Single-flowered is not the best name, as shoots are 1- to 3-flowered. Single-flowered edelweiss - Cerastium uniflorum.11

For the ninth picture the transfer is acting up, so I'm writing the explanation here. I found out it's musk saxifrage -saxifraga exarata subsp.moschata -saxifrages-saxifragaceae. ( all according to Alenka -Foto-Narava.com) On the stems there are several white flowers. Between the five white petals there is one light green leaflet each. For saxifrages it's important to photograph leaves and flower well, which is very important for identification. Saxifrages are in full bloom in high mountains, lower down the flowers have already wilted.
And an interesting fact about blooming around Planika. Four weeks ago everything was still blooming, now everything has wilted from Triglav rose to Obir bellflower. On the path from Velo polje pasture to Doliča and on to Planika there is still plenty of saxifrages, gypsum plants, edelweiss of both kinds, marsh forget-me-nots-overall the most common flowers, willow gentians, gentians and more I can't recall now. For Velo polje pasture it's characteristic that it's full of both edelweiss.

They say our season is almost over this year and soon we'll only photograph ice flowers. So we don't forget, some more pics from this year's tours. I'll add comment later.
Austrian črvinka - cluster of upright stems, no leaves visible, small white flowers at stem ends. On Vrbanovih špic tour.1
Pokalica - Silene vulgaris - seen on all tours, even on scree slopes.2
Popkoresa.3
Navadna grebenuša - Polygala vulgaris - grows by the path to Vodnik hut.4
Resasta popkoresa5
Rhodiola rosea L. - Also on the path to Vodnikova koča.6
Mountain valerian - Valeriana montana L. - Photographed on the path to Vodnikova koča.7
Marigold - as Anka says, an introduced species brought to us during WWI with horses. Grows right by the hut on Komna.8
Alpine athamanta - Athamanta cretensis L. - in the rocks of Štegovnik.9
We used to pick it for tea years ago, it smells strongly of honey. In the mid-mountains, it's full among the grasses. This is the real hunger plant, says Anka.10
This white flower I photographed among the grasses near Hudičev boršt. This is gooseberry, also according to Anka.11

Anka, thanks, that was quick pick from some this year's tours I couldn't identify right away or at all. On last tours I get closer shots too and recognition easier. Pity blooming time ending, as from tour talks I learned where to see certain flowers I haven't met and got countless tips e.g. for Blagaj wolfsbane, lady's slipper and more. Next year more luck. Best.

Today almost the last flowers of this year from the Italian side from the tour to Špik Hude police. I must come next year somehow in mid-July or end of July when everything blooms. Flowers are the same as on our side of the Julian Alps.
Both types of sviščevca same size as ours.1
Triglav flower also on Italian side.2
Last flowering kamnokreč.3
One of the low svišči.4
Clusius' svišč.5
6
Bohinj dock on mountain top under rock.7
Also some yellow flowers species. This caught my eye most. Hairy hawkweed - Hieracium villosum.8

Velkavrh, we'll find some more flowers, it's not winter yet. In July it blooms everywhere so it's hard to visit all blooming meadows. Veža and its blooming meadows close to my heart for sure.
Good luck!nasmeh

Yes next year in the first half of the season I will purposefully focus more on mid-mountains. In Kamnik-Savinja Alps I was quite present this year, less in Julians, in Karavanks almost nothing and I plan to explore them more next season. I'll probably start right with Kamniški vrh, where I was a few years ago from our weekend from Stiška vas via planina Osredek along the slope, not over the ridge, and haven't been to Velika planina yet. I already have noted which mountain flowers I didn't find this year or didn't notice. For individual mountains I have precisely noted flowers that should grow there. We'll see how successful I am. Veža for example I don't know at all. Planina Zapotok tempts me, known as flowery planina. I will dedicate to individual genera like krvomočnice, svišči, kamnokreči, bellflowers and whatever else turns up.

Despite today's slush on Kamnik saddle I still found some little flowers, some already flowering for the second time this year.
Alpine poppy is late or offering itself to the eyes for the second time this year.1
We have also already picked the ranjak and put it to dry.2
The hairy sleč will also slowly go to bed.3
Shiny grintavec4
Planika, winter probably doesn't tempt it at all.5
And another bouquet of flowers, since it's quite far to the next summer.6

Autumn is relentlessly approaching. Soon nature will dress in autumn colors. Only a few little flowers still persist.
Currently all blue in the forest and on the forest edges.1
Sviščevec still blooms tirelessly. On better sites it is also taller and has multiple flowers on one stem.2
Right at the top of Strelovec only the woolly-headed thistle persists.3
Hairy bellflowers along the macadam path.4
This bellflower also grows - perhaps the inflated one. These bellflowers still baffle me.5
Lakota.6
Along the macadam still plenty of lučnik.7
Lepotička still hiding the flower. Bleščeči grintavec.8
