That's Turkish preobjeda.

velkavrh9. 09. 2011 18:18:37
Expert answer - in Slovenia two narrower forms of capitated preobjeda grow - narrow-leaved and Turkish. The narrow-leaved is endemic to the Julians. On the picture we have Kamnik-Alpine preobjeda. It differs from the Turkish by more stocky growth, dense inflorescence and saturated violet color. Summarized after Tone Wraber from Hundred Famous Plants in Slovenia.

In Slovenia among others (there are 8 species with nine subspecies) three similar types of preobjeda grow like the one on Jože's photo: Repičasta with two subspecies, Turkish with two subspecies and narrow-leaved, which is endemic to alpine and submediterranean area, so that one is out. It can be one of the other two or their subspecies or their hybrids, or hybrids of subspecies. For exact determination a lens would be needed, most probably it is Turkish.
Prof. Wraber (1990) probably named repičasta as Kamnik-Alpine, botanical science is alive and changing. (Source: Mala flora 2007)

Anka, it really will be Turkish. I looked at Jože's picture carefully once more and realized that there are no flowers at the top and that misled me. Adding picture of habitat near Krvavec.

The calendar autumn is also approaching us, but not all mountain flowers have dried up or wilted yet. These from today's tour to Kladivo-Veliki vrh are proof.
Both gentians. Hairy gentian.1
Trumpet gentian.2
Popon or little sun.3
Only the evergreen kamnokreč remains.4
Most likely one of the dryads. This is the many-flowered dryad.5
Plantago media. Now blooming abundantly.6
Tormentil - Potentilla erecta - rose family.7
8
Last bellflower?9
This is leek-leaved hawkweed - Hieracium porrifolium.10
Autumn approaches. Red leaves from alpine gornik, green from woundwort, white from crusty rockcress.11
Common bird's-foot trefoil - Lotus corniculatus - legume family.12
Now a riddle from the top of Kladivo. Although I have three shots, the flower is not well visible. Visible is the leaf rosette and cluster of several flowers on a short slightly hairy stem. The flower is single, white. Haven't seen this flower this year -13
Confirmed - this is hairy rockjasmine - Androsace villosa. It should flower more in spring.14

Yes, indeed the willow gentian is still growing in full bloom, lots on the path through Žmavčarje.

On the last three photographs is rock jasmine

Anka, thanks! I also saw this rock jasmine today right below the hut on Stol. It was the only one. True, I never explore and photograph off paths, maybe just check summits more closely. Again I didn't manage a good flower shot. This is an early autumn flower greeting from the trip to Stol from Žirovnica.
The only edelweiss on the entire path just below the hut.1
Last flowers of stemless campion.2
Many-coloured milkwort.3
Globeflowers bearing abundant fruit.4
It should be petoprstnik - leaves are correct, flower too, in the middle of the flower towards the petals it has orange spots.5
Still a lot of upright gentian everywhere.6
Three pictures of bellflowers. Usually I miss when identifying.7
8
9
Hairy rockjasmine - Androsace villosa. So it blooms so late and at altitudes over 2,000 m. It was also growing on Kladivo now at the same altitude. It is supposed to be more of a spring flower.10
Where does this yellow one belong, not among the hawkweeds because they have lobed leaves like dandelion only reversed. This has leaves similar to narrow-leaved hawkweed. It is hairy hawkweed.11
Common horseshoe vetch - Hippocrepis comosa (Fabaceae).12
Gerard's sandwort - Minuartia verna gerardii. Recognized by larger flowers than other sandworts, shrubby low cushions - greenish flower center with tufts.13
Common eyebright.14
This should be the mountain eyebright. They grew practically together, among tall grasses above the scree.15
Just for identification. The leaves are from one of the primroses, whose leaves I know, the already wilted flowers are probably from a saxifrage, as almost dried leaves like moss are visible. Most likely it is mossy saxifrage.16
This is the blue-green saxifrage. I don't recognize this saxifrage yet - saxifraga caesia. I also saw hawkweed, dwarf gentian, forest draba, mountain savory, only Zois' bellflower, edelweiss, primroses and various golden saxifrages.17

Still some belated flower can be found. Rock jasmine blooms usually among the first spring flowers. On the tenth photograph is hairy whitlowgrass, the next is horseshoe vetch, the one with white stars is cross: maybe rock cress, popkoresa surely not. The last is blue-green rock speedwell.

Also from the trip to Ojstrica via Robanov kot I have some late flowers. Now it looks like winter is coming at least temporarily without the intervening autumn.
Still some twigs of hairy saxifrage.1
Also still common saxifrage, but already past flowering as the flowers have faded.2
There is still plenty of willow gentian and its relative.3
Gentian.4
Austrian bellflower has its last flowers.5
There is still plenty of Bavarian globe candytuft. It nods very friendly with its little heads.6
One species of draba is fighting for survival in the rock.7
I found the only flower of velesa left.8
Bohinj primrose blooms cheerfully as if it were spring.9
Of the stoneworts, only the evergreen stonewort with its last flowers defies autumn.10
Zois bellflower is taking its leave. All summer it has delighted us with its unique recognizable flowers.11
Other bellflowers are still blooming. I don't yet best distinguish bellflowers except Zois'. This is the bladder bellflower.12
Clusius cinquefoil.13
Edelweiss are still smiling. Is it the Carinthian or another one.14
Daisy-leaved hawkweeds are also nodding.15
Blackish wormwood allowed me a beautiful photo.16
Rockjasmine wouldn't cooperate. Slightly blurred flower. But the leaves are shiny dark green.17
Still plenty of mountain savory.18
So that no one thinks there is no more low gentian, it just did not grant me a nice shot.19
And finally a beautiful shot of this pink beauty-pečnik.20

The flower forum captivated me. Such beautiful photos you post and how many flowers and grasses you know. I like flowers, I photograph them too, but names... only a few stay in my head, I have to recall them from memory every year. Hats off to all photographers and experts. Keep it up.

@vandica1
I have memorized only a few flower names. I think the best help is some guidebook and on the spot find the flower in the book, compare it with the one in nature and later check on the forum.nasmeh

Velkavrh, if by German you meant Bavarian bellflower, that's right. The last pink beauty is moss campion.

Anka, thanks! Sure, I meant the Bavarian one. On my last trips in the Karavanke I used my fluent German knowledge each time because there were quite a few hikers from Austria and I mixed up a bit, otherwise I know both bellflowers well. I know moss campion well too, I have the garden one at home in three colors, but at the start of the season I confused it here with dwarf, and Peter2 corrected me right away, who hasn't posted for a long time. Next spring I will explore his area as he calls it, the Bohinj end - Bohinj midhills from Viševnik to Ablanca, Brda and more. In Srednja vas I have both sisters, so I will stay with them for a couple of days. L.P.

I reviewed all this year's trips and found more interesting pics of our little beauties.
I don't distinguish this gentian very well yet. It is spring also called šmigovec. Photographed on a hike to Kalški greben on the path to Dolge njive.1
For now I haven't found a name for this green flowering flower. It is almond-leaved or sharp milkweed.2
Forest cranesbill - photographed on hike to Ledine.3
Only on hike to Črno prst 16.06.2001 right at the top by the hut I encountered silver cranesbill. Geranium argenteum.4
On hike to Črno prst there was much yellow negnoj under pasture under Lisec in forest.5
On hike to Pristovski Storžič encountered habitats of wolf's vetch which hadn't seen in nature before. In garden have multicolored hybrids.6
Long searched for answer to this photo taken on hike to Štegovnik 10.06.2011 - it is forest wallflower-erysimum sylvestre.7
In spring I didn't meet it anywhere else.8
Beside it grew a beautiful alpine jelenka.9
Beautiful habitat of gentian on tour over Sredji vrh 18.05.2011 towards Kališče. It is spring gentian-gentiana verna.10
I don't know exactly which white beauty this is -photographed then as gentians. Probably seguier buttercup-ranunculus seguieri.11
Brown-red cranesbill -the real one, although more violet on the picture, we recognize it by the characteristic flower. Photographed under Coisova koča on spring tour to Skuto, which didn't succeed. Geranium phaeum.12

It seems we've gotten a bit tired from the long season, but still I encounter the last floral greetings before the snow. This time from the tour via Grdi graben to both Kočne and Grintavec.
Beautiful edelweiss, nothing shows that frost awaits it.1
Beautiful autumn has so far protected even this pink beauty. Shimmering gritstone.2
A little already dried out, but I found it nevertheless - gentian.3
Austrian wormlings don't give in.4
Beautiful Koroške smilljke.5
At the end once more these flowers without my shadow.6
