Which flower is this?

Struško usually visits in May, but this time we made a change and were just as enthusiastic about her flowering meadows. Flower names are troubling me again, so I ask for help. velik nasmehmežikanje

Otiv, I haven't seen such a nicely colored cranesbill for a long time! I really like this flower. nasmehAnyway, I vote for the wig-headed scabious; the single-scaled one, as far as I know, has leaves of different color, a bit with gray patina; for the rock cress I'd say it's the blue-green rock cress, although it's not exactly visible because you focused more on the flowers. And by the way - woolly-headed thistle.lpmežikanje

Otiv, you really had a nice time.

I distinguish those "hairy" scabious more by the number of heads on the stem. If there are more and therefore the stem is branched, it's lax scabious, if one then the name says it - single-headed, or feathered. I can't tell from the pictures, maybe you remember?nasmeh

Maybe Brane would note that you photographed Rhelikani primrose as subspecies of black and bicolored instead of rednasmeh

Apolonija, thanks. nasmeh
Now I'll have to go back to Struška to check the scabiousvelik
I checked the other shots and no branching is visible and given the very low growth it's probably the single-headed scabious.
For vanilla orchids I knew about the changes but forgot from last year.

I'll continue with Struška tomorrow, there's still a lot of material. nasmeh

potka, it's common loosestrife-Lysimachia vulgaris. We see it cultivated in flower beds too.

Still debate about primroses. Last two years I've been paying special attention to them and trying to distinguish reds, which should grow here only in Julians. Looks like Otiv's photos don't show that. Undoubtedly dark-colored Rhelikani primroses, sometimes we called them black primroses and the name stuck. For the other two pictured—photos no. 21 and 24—a good expert could say they are Kamnik primroses. I have a handbook by Branko Dolinar, which on p. 116 shows Kamnik primrose. I can say I've seen Kamnik primroses several times with lower flower part more faintly pink than white. Red or bicolored shouldn't grow in Karavanke where Struška is. Now heading to Julians to find Widder's—I've found it and know it, Janez's (haven't noticed yet—know how it looks) and of course bicolors and moisture-loving (reds). Don't know difference between these two (Dolinar doesn't describe separately). Reds shouldn't grow here at all but bicolors and moisture-loving. Red according to botanist Wolfram Foelsche only in Lower Austria and Styria. But we know flowers don't know borders and can jump to our Karavanke too. On Košuta ridge on some peaks Austrian primrose should grow. Now worth investigating, think early August might be too late when I'll have time. Only per Dolinar Widder's and Rhelikani flower into August, others a month earlier.

darinka4, on pic no. 5 you have globeflower. No. 2 is hawkweed—probably experts would ID it as Julian. No. 1 and 3—undoubtedly bellflowers. They are Zois bellflowers, though flowers not best visible. For pic no. 1 I'm in dilemma—whether Scheuchzer's or another. I think not mossy. Could only be round-leaved, basal leaves round (not visible), others linear. This bellflower grows in clusters. As far as I know Scheuchzer's grow more singly among grasses.

@darinka4, you have too unsteady a hand. In the shade the exposure time lengthens even more and it shows even more in the blurry picture. It happens to me too, so if possible I lean the camera on some rock or stump nearby. Best is to use a tripod, but that's another story in the mountains, as there's enough other hiking gear.
On picture 3 it's definitely Zois bellflower, my eyes are still good enough for that. velik nasmehmežikanje
