They bloom like this on the path to Baba in the Kanin Mountains. From Žaga.

darinka4, in 1 and 2 it will be one of the ušivci, but it doesn't have flowers yet so we can determine its name. In picture 3 it's alpine kosmatinec at the beginning of flowering, as it doesn't have the real white color yet. Regards nasmeh

Zvončica, this foxtail is very interesting to me because it's a bit special!

blue milje - finally I had the honour to see it in the wild

starry saxifrage - I have never seen it in such abundance anywhere

how beautiful it will be when this cushion of Triglav rose blooms

Clusius gentian with interesting dark blue stripes

long-flowering gentian has an elongated corolla tube - first time seen

mountain soldanella with double corolla leaves

also Pyrenean houseleek still has no buds

bos, in the first shot it's peach-leaved bellflower, in the second annual fleabane, it's not budding lily, but garden flower buttercup.

Thanks otiv, thanks Gita, luckily I have some friends who help me when I don't know what I've found. But lowland plants trouble me more than high-alpine ones. The latter I observed and studied for years when highlands were accessible, for lowland plants I'm "sentenced" last 6 years, so I'm much more beginner with them. Don't mean they're not interesting, just didn't have "time" before. So I'm even happier if there's option to touch high terrain occasionally with transport help. So enjoy, Gita, blooming beauties of summits while possible. velik nasmeh

Today I hiked around Zelenica again. I climbed Srednji vrh for the first time ever, where pasque flowers surprised me. On the classic site I still found a nice lady's slipper. Bosenski ušivec grows here too, but I can't find it this year.

This is another species of alpine sowthistle.

Beautiful lady's slippers can still be found.

We recognize the Obir campion by the leaves.

We mainly recognize hawkweed species by the flower. I cannot claim which one it is.

Alpine hairy fleabane can still be found.

There is a lot of Carniolan lily or golden apple. I even found a yellow variant.

We identify it by the color of the awns on the involucral leaves - they are black.

Today first time seen, don't know probably lily by the road to Gabrje in Vipava valley.

Yes, darinka, Turkish lily. That orange one is the Carniolan, which velkavrh has above in picture 25.

Gita, I fully agree with you about Zlatica and her rich botanical knowledge. And how gladly she shares it with us, helps solve many puzzles or reminds us of identification mistakes. Thanks for all her effort!
