Otiv, I completely overlooked your wonderful photo of the shaggy primrose. It really is a true Smrekovec treasure. Zlatica, I didn't know that the smallest primrose also grows on Komna. This area really is something special. Regards to all!

Silvij, you've already done well with the names yourself, not much to add. Perhaps just that this violet is not one of the now more common relic violets (black violet), but one of the red violets. It is very beautiful, but they are hard to identify. Adding, because I wrote the above lines obviously when only a few flowers were uploaded. 13 globeflower, hard to say which one, 17 Pyrenean sandwort 18 saxifrage 20 felwort 21 daisy hawkweed 22 looks more like round-leaved ragwort to me, by the leaves, although the flowers are very similar to that on pic 17 23 again felwort 34 orchis, yes, not typical Fuchs', has different leaves also middle petal on flower not longer than the other two, which is typical for Fuchs', maybe a hybrid? Anyway congratulations for the lady's slipper! lp

silvij, under your flowers I added some more today. zvončica, what if it's Zahlbruckner's cat's-ear and not spiked? I have trouble distinguishing both quickly, and now no time to study. Otherwise you found many beautiful flowers on the way to Slemenova špica.

Zlatica, thanks for the names. There is quite a lot of lady's slipper on Zadnji Vogl, so it would be hard to miss it.

Georgia, dark red marsh orchid. Zlatica, based on the data and photos of Zahlbruckner's and bluish spiked cat's-ear I assessed that I ran into the latter. Of course I might be wrong. Neither one nor the other is common. Lp

A couple of flowers from Krstenica alpine pasture. I didn't dare go higher because the sky suddenly became too black. The murke are still waiting for me. I haven't seen them yet this year.

I'm browsing our flowers a bit. silvij really presented us a whole palette of beautiful mountain flowers on 05.07. To comment a bit: no.4 - is navadni kukavičnik no.13 - next to clusijevo svišče is gorska zlatica - Ranunculus montanus. no.20 - planinski popon or sončece. Other poponi have much larger flowers and grow always lower. no. 24 - I pondered long - decided for homulični kamnokreč. no.09 - next is križnica - bohinjski repnjak. no. 33 - scheuchzerjeva zvončica. no. 29 - arnika. no.8 - about murke I probably wrote sometime. According to Blaž Blažič's master's thesis in 2017 there are eight confirmed species of murke in Slovenia. So three would come into consideration on the photo: classic red Nigritella miniata, moisture-loving N. hygrophila and N. bicolor. Others don't fit because they are different. I can't distinguish these red species. Mr. Strgar from Bohinj knows them well too. zlatica probably meant to add šebenik under no. 19. I don't find it that low. Usually it's much taller. I'd rather go for obirski grobeljnik. Also comment for bos from Velebit: no. 1 - kimastoplodni šipek no. 2 - avstrijski lučnik no. 3 - definitely homulica - I photographed it on Velebit too. I'll comment only two photos from mirank on 06.07.: no. 8 - šopasti repušnik - grows here too and is rare no. 6 - yellow mountain poppy - only two possible: retijski or petkovškov. Kernerjev doesn't grow there.

silvo1952 it should be like this: No. 1.-vrednikov jetičnik - lat. name correct No. 2.-kuštravi oklep No. 3.-correct No. 4.-triglavska neboglasnica No. 5.-can't see the lower leaves well, so wouldn't determine the species of this svišče. Definitely not triglavski. No. 6.-glavičasti ušivec

Waiting for tomorrow, when I head to Vodnik hut and climb at least to the pre-summit of Vernar. There I always find Triglav gentians too. Meanwhile I'll comment a bit on our contributions. darinka4 it will be like this: No. 3.-hairy snowbell No. 5.-alpine catchfly. No. 4.-grass-leaved or Carniolan bellflower. This is the only bellflower that has leaves like grass. No.6.-yes it's nigritella, but which one. Definitely one of the red ones. I think it's our common red one. It has such an elongated flower in the last stage of blooming and the lower petals color towards white. Correct Latin name is Nigritella miniata sensu lato, Nigritella rubla is syn. for this nigritella, at least that's what Blažič says.

I have to share this with you... Multi-leaved wolfsbane at Tromeja (Peč), photographed this week, is just in full bloom. On the Austrian side everything is purple from it, I found a white and pink specimen too. Well, on the Slovenian side it blooms right below the summit too. Wonderful surprise on this ascent!
