I came across records of two aconites on Košuta ridge, which the author calls flat aconite and Košuta aconite. Could this be one of the two aconites? Picture taken on Košuta ridge.

Zvončica, under No. 9 you have willow gentian. Very similar is also rock gentian.

But aconites? There are always many aconites there.

Velkavrh, thanks for the willow gentian. There were some aconites, but the flower on both photos was unclear, so I didn't post them.

Črow, wonderful photos.

Above Vodnik hut on Velem polje there is B. Hacquet's botanical nursery, intended for a pleasant walk among flowers during a stop at the hut or for study purposes. For easier exploration of the nursery, arrows and numbers from 1 to 15 guide us.

macek1-I checked out this botanical nursery above Vodnik hut two weeks ago and was a bit disappointed. I found only about ten plaques. The hut keeper told me they've been caring for the nursery for three years again and installed about fifty plaques. I've known about this nursery for a long time. Unfortunately, no one cared for it for many years. Maybe the start of the nursery was once marked and paths to the plaques arranged. Now that's not there and you have to search the whole hillock to find something. Otherwise, there's a list at the hut of what alpine flowers grow here. Years ago I found three-quarters of them.

Kati1109, let me comment a bit on your found and photographed flowers:

no. 6.-rock saxifrage
no.7.-woodland hepatica
no.10.-many-angled dryads and Scheuchzer's bellflowers.
no. 12-more like alpine or pinnate catchfly-decisive would be the leaves.
no. 15-I think it's capitated catchfly
no. 18-I think it's Montpellier pink-we often confuse them.

Now my harvest from yesterday's eleven-hour ramble between Vogl and Komna. This year I found the long-desired Rhelikani gentian for the first time. Along the way from Migovec and Komna there was a meadow full of them. But even to get there you had to push through annoying dwarf pine. I didn't see them elsewhere. This year I didn't find rattles around the home on Komna. A colleague found even edelweiss while conquering Mohor. I was resting at that time.
There is plenty of hairy spleenwort everywhere.1
In this area we find Pyrenean houseleek. It's slowly wilting.2
Alpine goldenrod.3
Shiny sandwort.4
Grey-green rockjasmine.5
Host's rockjasmine. I also found the evergreen and furrowed ones.6
Resinous orchid. There is also a lot of the common one.7
Alpine thistle. I found more species of thistles and knapweeds.8
It has such leaves.9
Rhaetian poppy.10
There is a lot of gentian. Some are already wilted, others have not bloomed yet. I cannot distinguish both species.11
Yellow gentian grows with us in two variants - loose-flowered or prostrate and brotherly or clustered.12
Mountain cinquefoil - this grows in large quantities near Double Lake in the Valley of Triglav Lakes.13
Long-leaved scabiosa.14
It has such leaves.15
Julian hawkweed - autochthonous hawkweed in the Julian Alps area.16
We recognize hawkweed species by the flower and leaves. I cannot distinguish them. These are its leaves.17
Zois's bellflower.18
The most common are pot-bellied bellflowers.19
Narrow-leaved catchfly.20
At this time only pot-bellied gentian blooms at these altitudes, at least around here.21
Julian lousewort, I also found capitated, spicate and fusiform ones.22
There is a lot of Bohinj or pinkish-red snowbell.23
On the path from Komna down to Savica I always find the albino nettle-leaved bellflower.24
Broad-leaved preobjeda.25
Carnic or woolly-leaved bellflower. It has grass-like leaves and hangs from rocks - it likes shade.26
For the top of my mountain flowers, also rhelikanijeva murka.27

With permission I am posting, arrived by e-mail ....In the Alpine Botanical Garden Juliana, these flowers are blooming... Photo: Janez Medvešek

...In Juliana the Komenski gentian has bloomed again. It first bloomed in Juliana eight years ago, the famous botanik Ernest Mayer first noticed it in 1957 on Komna, somewhere between the pastures Na Kraju and Govnjač. It's a new wonder of nature, a hybrid between the Pannonian gentian and the Bratina gentian. Both "parents" thrive on Komna.
This flower enchants a person! Its colors are unimaginably beautiful, it is large and proud, visible from afar as soon as you step into the garden. Now it is the undisputed queen there, even though the Queen of the Alps - alpine eryngo - is also blooming at this moment.

For KOMENSKI GENTIAN I couldn't find the Latin name
ALPINE ERYNGO also QUEEN OF THE ALPS has the Latin name ERYNGIUM ALPINUM
TUFTED BELLFLOWER is PHYSOPLEXIS COMOSA

The Komenski gentian is nicely visible from approx. 12 o'clock onwards, because before that a mighty spruce covers it, the alpine eryngo is visible throughout, the bellflower is already very wilted and is in shade at least until 14 o'clock. The Komenski gentian is to the left of the ticket hut, just a few meters away!

On the Komna I've been searching for it for several years already, but I've never found it. This year I didn't find even the edelweiss, which I usually found on the lower path to the hut on Komna from the Govnjač pasture.

Majda, nice that you published Medvešek's words about the Komen souslik. I went to see it a few days ago and can only confirm that I really liked it. So in continuation I present my photos of the Komen souslik and some more photos of other plants from the Alpine Botanical Garden Juliana itself and its immediate surroundings in Trenta.
