You really have luck with albinos! Zois's violet still blooms. You saw all three lilies. Have you seen the fourth - saffron one already? Lp

Good morning! For the saffron one I haven't heard yet. My new camera still in testing phase and haven't discovered all its tricks yet. Too often my pics fail. This time I deliberately tested battery endurance and it really showed they need charging after 500 shots. In the morning at half six really still too little light for nicer pics. In Mel cirque end of photographing. On top of Stol the camera woke up again. Today forwarding some more shots.

In total on the tour I photographed over eighty flower species. Of that about fifty I determine exactly, ten only genus - then search species determination. Only small part that I see first time don't recognize in field. Then at home try to recognize from literature and net. Only negligible number can't find at all. Of course in determination part also mistakes or totally miss.

otiv, you were in my territory and found almost as many species of diverse mountain flowers as I did on Stol. I know where nearby grow planike, Host's rockjasmine, vanež, also all other rockjasmines, Kamniška ivanščica, Zois's and other small bellflowers. Tomorrow I go up too. Start as usual at the parking lot on Planina Jezerce. Then straight to Veliki Zvoh, over Jež ridge to Vrh Korena, onward across the entire Kalški greben to Kalška gora and back to Kalce and Planina Dolgo njivo. This tour I do every year. This year especially because I'm botanizing Krvavec with surroundings. L.P.

Brane, I can comment from memory, for more I'd have to look in books: -Rockjasmine. light green leaves, but hairy=homulični, vivid green, smooth=evergreen -orchis with whitish stems is different, I'm almost sure it's round-leaved false hellebore! -gentian is Fuchs's in my opinion -definitely pink marsh valerian -masterwort? I think it's pinkish-red hogweed /Heracleum austriacum/ best

Apolonija, thanks! Masterwort is correct though. I can well distinguish hogweed from masterwort. But it's true, the inflorescence is almost identical.

Brane, I can comment from memory, for more I'd have to look in books: -Spleenwort. light green leaves, but hairy=trichomanes, vivid green, smooth=evergreen -orchis with whitish stems is different, I'm almost sure it's round-leaved false hellebore! -gentian is Fuchs' in my opinion -definitely pink marsh valerian -masterwort? Apolonija thanks! Brane I think it's still too early, since you see edelweiss and snowbells are still flowering. Bellflowers have only just started flowering properly and even lower down. Some questions remain on the pics and please help.

Branko first two photos are surely evergreen spleenwort, trichomanes is low and forms cushion. Rockjasmine on eighth photo isn't Carniolan primrose, because it grows only around Golica, but Austrian rockjasmine. Spleenwort on photo no. 14 is bluish-green spleenwort. More spleenworts here. Shaggy and bluish-green differ slightly, shaggy has compact cushion. For edelweiss I wouldn't claim it's Triglav one, 25 is elongated spike, hogweed is pinkish-red. Eleventh flower posted 20 July from Špik above Nos isn't poppy, it's one of many cinquefoils. Best

Clusius' cinquefoil is the correct identification by Apolonija for otiv's last picture.

Brane, what do you think is on Vito's picture 51? It looks like corymb anemone from Črna prst, only I don't see the corymbs. And it's very rare.

I also checked the internet and it really looks like it. I noticed that it also grows in KSA; for more, you'd need to go back to Kompotelo.
