Which flower is this?

I don't distinguish edelweiss either, most often the distinguishing features aren't the flowers. Lp

But they are part of mid and high mountain flora, present everywhere and it's right to know them better. Just one month ago they told me every one is Carinthian.

White flowers bloom among rocks,
tender like baby's hands.
Nice to see them along the path,
only with their names often mistaken.nasmeh

Brane and poetically inspired otiv, how many different edelweiss does Slovenian mountain-alpine flora have at all and which? Have you read that somewhere? Did Alenka write something about it too?
I know alpine /C.alpinum/, rock /C.julicum/, single-flowered /C.uniflorum/, south-alpine with Carinthian subspecies /C.carinthiacum subsp.carinthiacum/. Then I heard about Dinaric /C.dinaricum/. I know there's also forest /C.sylvaticum/, and that edelweiss /C.strictum/, clustered /C.glomeratum/, Tenore's /C.tenoreanum/ and spring /C.fontanum/ and that's all. Then there are other white-flowering pinks like: catchflies, mouse-ear chickweeds, stitchworts, sandworts, baby's breath...You really have to know all characteristics well to identify correctly. I don't know how the habitat affects slightly differently shaped flowers too. Your pictures are interesting. I also wish someone could say more. If I look at pictures, Carinthian edelweiss doesn't have identical flowers everywhere. Leaves? It seems to me, layman, that rock ones are narrower, Carinthian wider...In the end due to helplessness I say: maybe enough to recognize genus, species let botanists. Lp

Ivanjščice. Kamnik oxeye (Leucanthemum lithopolitanicum) has involucral bracts bordered dark brown, black. Yours has the border.Lp

This should be the mountain edelweiss. It grew at 2,000 m and had a significantly smaller flower than those down at Jezerce pasture.10
This is how it grows.11
Hairy oklep.12
Stemless or leafless monkshood.13
Kerner's poppy. Petkovšek's grows in the Julian Alps.14
Fragrant wolfsbane on Kalce. It really smells, although it has faded a bit from the sun.15

Red-tinted many-flowered knapweed. Mostly they are blue.26
Forest eyebright.27
Now a small puzzle I haven't solved yet - flower of dimka.28
That's right and it has such leaves - it could be alpine or stemless, the alpine has pinnately lobed leaves, the stemless has toothed ones. Where is the difference, or what is the difference in the leaves?29

Brane, pink trebelje, proof: leaves. Really? It seems to me that your little flower does not have them so "serrated"; they look more like the leaves of pink-red dežna.nasmeh

26 you mean črnoglavka
29 your plant has toothed leaves. Pinnately divided like a "fish bone", incisions reach almost to the middle. What is the difference between dimnik and jajčar??

Then I always find pink-red dežen, and I think it is hairy trebelje. I thought dežen grows more in the Julians - I always find it on Črna prst.

I researched dimke and jajčarje last year and didn't get to the end of them. Their common feature is that they are full-flowered. Generally, jajčarji grow taller. Now in the valley we see common jajčar, in mid-mountain and high-mountain we find grey jajčar, which has grey leaves. Among high-mountain jajčarji, high-mountain jajčar is known, Swiss - supposedly does not grow here. For us, high-mountain is interesting - for it is written: outer sheath under the basket black-hairy, leafless stem, leaves bluntly toothed. I don't know what leaf shape that is. Characteristic for them is that flowers are not so spread out as in dimki. They list more dimki: velekoškasti; lučkovolistni; prealpine; Kerner's; Triglav; golden; leafless; fleshy-red - which we cannot mix, because it has a characteristic color. I know well only the fleshy-red and the golden one, which is currently plentiful everywhere and often turns completely orange. In general, we distinguish dimke by leaves, which are special for each species. With these low dimki, otavič can also confuse us, as it is similar.

We must not mix jajčarje with škržolicami, there are quite a few of them. Characteristic for them is that they are taller and have branched stems with numerous flowers. Hairy usually grows together with jajčarji and dimki, but we will distinguish it because it is really hairy. Short-hairy oman, svinjak, skrka and škrbinka can also confuse us. Oman and svinjak have only one flower on the stem. The last two grow taller and mixing with škržolicami is possible. So the possibilities to mix everything together are really many.
This yellow trifle that troubles me, I photographed it. This is supposed to be jajčar.1
This is a flower.2
These are the leaves. And this is proof that it's not jajčar at all, but škržolica. I'll research which one. It's not the hairy one.3
This is dimek from Stol. The leaves are completely untoothed.4

Brane, thanks for the explanation. I see a lot of work awaits me to get to know and distinguish them. I will look more closely this evening.
Your dimek is probably not Triglav one, maybe Kerner's? And alpine škržolica?
